Thread to follow PSU recruits at PA States

I would not be surprised in the least at AA 182 if Geer, Bulsak and older Hoffman pinned or teched everybody else in the field.

Robbie Patrick of Ligonier Valley, returning state runner-up and ranked #1 in PA AA 152, lost in consolations and DNP.

That's PA states in a nutshell.

I'm on the NFHS live feed for the AAA quarters, which are starting at 2:30.

It looks like they are streaming 6 mats. Is there any way to know which matches are on which mats?

Are the finals streaming anywhere tomorrow? If so, what is the schedule for the finals tomorrow? I live in California now and wouldn't mind watching.

Schnupp 3-2 over Campbell and Chlebove 5-1 over Macri. They'll meet in the semis.

Matt Parker 3-2 over returning finalist Gage Curry at 113. Parker will likely make the finals against the Schnupp-Chlebove winner.

Spencer Lee WBF 0:39. Next victim: former runner-up Dan Moran (Northampton).

His likely finals victim will be the winner between DeSanto and Fenstermacher ... DeSanto wins 13-5. Any other year DeSanto would be a big favorite to win states.

Tomorrow's sessions are being televised by PCN.

Spencer Lee WBF 0:39.

R1 - bye
R2 - fall at 0:45
Quarters - fall at 0:39

At this rate, Spencer may not wrestle 6 minutes at the 2016 States.

Appears that his Dr. Bradley, and Spencer's family, knew what they were doing.

Pletcher v Sasso up now. First, no score.

0-0 start of 2nd. Flow shows them in neutral.

Check that. 1-0 Pletcher with escape.

Flo has Pletcher up 2-0 now. Pletcher on top to start third. I have no idea how the other point was scored. It showed Pletcher 1-0 at first. Possibly a penalty point for some reason, or injury selection. I don't now, could be Flo is just goofing up.

2-1 Pletcher.

Looks like it's final. 2-1 Pletcher over Sasso. It was very confusing as to how Luke scored his second point.

Pletcher over Sasso 2-1 on the strength of a penalty point. Pletcher fought off a deep takedown attempt by Sasso in the final :30. That was your state championship match right there.

Pletcher 2-1 over Sasso on a penalty point. Sasso pushed a lot of the action and got deep on a single at the end of the 3rd, but couldn't convert as Pletcher did the splits and wriggled out of bounds.

Pletcher wins 2-1, fights off a late takedown attempt. I watched it, and don't know how Luke got his second point.

Pletcher wins 2-1. Each had an esc, and Pletcher picked a penalty point. Sasso was so close to a TD in the 3rd, but between being on the edge, Pletcher's split, and eventually going OOB, he never got it. Pletcher had a stall warning in the 3rd.

Match should never have taken place in the Quarters.

Gardner WBF 1:20, steamrolled his opponent with an underhook + half, into the semis against Coy.

Cam Coy is extremely difficult to score on and can really ride. I wish he had some more offense, though.

Coy is unfortunately in that mold of guys who can score more, and do from time to time, but why win 13-2 when you can win 3-2? Hope he grows out of that as he progresses in his career.

145 AAA NW Regional champ Brock Port lost 2-1 over Lucas Martoccio (Council Rock South). Huge upset, Port was 35-1, Martoccio was 43-11.

Didn't our Joe Lee dismantle Sasso a few years back?

I've updated the status of all the guys in my OP in the thread. Those that are still in the Championship bracket are done for the day.

Those in Consolations will have another match today.

Also, a heads up. In the words of El-Jefe "the boss" scheduled something for me tomorrow, so I won't be able to provide any updates on Saturday. I'm confident that several of you will post updates on the posters listed in my OP.
