Too funny - here is the "play-by-play" entry on cheating b1g Officials fabricated Iowa 1st Down

From my perspective the ball should have been placed at the line of scrimmage, perhaps even back a little further but we are talking inches. The ball drops straight down and is then knocked backwards by Stanley's arm (maybe a PSU leg as well). It doesn't appear like Stanley could recover it himself in the video but he may have. If had to guess I would say someone else recovered it.

It doesn’t look like he had secure possession of it...they blew the whistle too soon. And if he did, it was on the back side of his body, definitely the opposite direction of the first down line.

Ummm, at the very end of video as graphic is coming in you can clearly see the ball is behind Staley's hand (already behind the original LOS at this point) has bounded into the air as it is still going backward - is over the back of Stanley's leg down around the calf / ankle area and still clearly going backward. Stanley's entire upper-body is buried in the pile as he is prone on his stomach and the ball is bounding backwards away from him. BTW, how can you know where the ball should be marked so finitely when it is already behind the original LOS at the end of this replay and clearly bounding backwards unrecovered as the graphic on replay cuts in and video cuts out??? BTW, the closest people to the ball who almost certainly recovered it as it was bounding backward are an Iowa OL to the right of ball and am Iowa RB coming forward toward ball just as I said.

The notion that the ball dropped straight down and Stanley fell on it and recovered it up near his head within a foot of the 33 yard line as the other poster adamantly claimed in rebuking me is nothing but recreationist, defend the corrupt b1g scumbag cheaters, happy horseshit, made up nonsense.

There is nothing in that video that would allow you to conclude it was recovered within inches of original LOS - quite to the contrary when the ball is already behind the original LOS at very end of video as it is cutting out and still travelling backwards loose and unrecovered.

I'm saying this also, or trying to.
The ball was at least a yard from a first down when the clip ends. Whether the RB recovers or Stanley they would both be down immediately so that is where the ball should have been spotted.

I don't see any way it could be as far back as the 35 with the video we have. Nor do I see why it matters, most if not all of us would agree that they were clearly short of a first down.

Though we will need to hide this footage from CJF, otherwise he'll use it as a case study on why he doesn't use the QB sneak! ;)

You're right about one thing - the ball was recovered farther back than where it was spotted. And where it was spotted was at least a half yard behind the first down marker. Stanley clearly dove on it, it slipped between his arms and he ended up pinning it beside his thigh/hip which is where it was when the play was blown dead.

Simply not true as the video above very clearly proves. At the end of the replay, right when graphic is coming in, the ball is clearly fully beyond Stanley's hand and still bounding backwards (look at the freeze-frames in the above telecast replay during the 3, 4, 5 and 6 second frames (there are 3 or 4 frames per second). The last frames of the 5 second segment clearly show ball beyond Stanley's hand and continuing to bound backward over his lower leg. He absolutely does not control the ball with his hand - that is simply not true. The ball is beyond Stanley's hand (and the original LOS) as ABC cut out of the replay and the ball is clearly still travelling backward completely free and unpossessed.

Yep...then the football fairy magically appeared and put the ball back in Stanley’s hands as they all unpiled.

Last view we get as the ESPN graphic starts popping up...Stanley’s hand holding the bottom third of the ball as he’s pulling it in. But in Bushwood’s warped mind, this pic shows “He absolutely does not control the ball with his hand - that is simply not true. The ball is beyond Stanley's hand (and the original LOS) as ABC cut out of the replay and the ball is clearly still travelling backward completely free and unpossessed.”

And what’s really humorous is I just read an article by Heather Dinich where she’s talking about playoff contenders and stated Penn State has to eliminate dumb penalties if they want to compete....really? Other than last night, we don’t usually get penalized very much.

Stupid Beeeeeaaaaaaaatch!
