Any word on whether Assad is going to be “pushed out” this year so a coach can get his son in the lineup?
So I'm the outsider Hawkeye Fan here right? Been here quite awhile now. Pretty much anything negative Willie says about me here most of you are going to pounce on like cats. Correct? Happens everytime whether he is right or not. It gets Willie so happy excited he goes upstairs and tells mom and dad all about it. His head doesn't get much bigger than when you kiss his ass during and after a Turk bashing.
I get it. I never came here to get likes. I know I don't get a "win" situation here on BWI and that's ok. I love my Lone Wolf role. I like talking wrestling and considering this board talks a whole lot about Iowa I stick around and join in the FUN. I certainly enjoy the banter
WildTurk is constantly wondering if someone will say something even dumber than what WildTurk says. Probably makes it hard for WikdTurk to focus on just being the best board dum dum.

Anyway you look at it, high level transfers are the name of the game now. Transfers should be ranked yearly now, right alongside HS/Prep school recruits. That's how all the big boys will fill the gaps. The Transfer portal and NIL changed everything in college sports. I'm not convinced it's for the best either.

You notice how jrod65, Nashville_Hawkeye, minnhawkeye (RIP), IAChief32 when he shows up don't get anywhere near as much crap as you? It has nothing to do with being an Iowa fan.
js8793 even gets defended against people who say he is "backhanding" our wrestlers because tbh he is always providing objective analysis.
For the record, I have nothing against you at all and for the most part enjoy your contributions to this board. You've also obviously been around much longer than me. Trash talk is fun but when you make snarky comments about Steen getting pushed out and losing focus because of it, yeah, you'll get called out. You've done the same about Joe Lee "surviving another day" and joking about where Seth Nevills will be wrestling (it's still Penn State btw). For the record, PSU fans who go to Hawkeye Report and make similar comments deserve the same.
To be fair here, while we may consider his remarks as being snarky or even trolling, Turk may actually believe what he is saying and just puts it out there. If that’s the case and I believe it is, I have absolutely no problem with him doing that. I welcome opposing points of view no matter how much I disagree or how much it pisses me off. And to be honest, when it pisses me off it’s usually because there’s some truth behind what he is saying. All in all though, Turk should be appreciative that he can take part here, spew whatever he wants even if we think it’s total nonsense. Some boards would ban opposing fans for doing that on their board. I can’t think of any off the top of my head but I’m sure they are out there.
jrod65 sucks up to you guys somewhat so he is accepted easier. Truth. Nashville and Chief don't post much here for a reason. Less posting here = less crap. Chief is a good poster no matter where he goes btw. js8793 fits in well and is an up and comer forsure. And yes indeed RIP minnhawkeye.
Do you understand what "banter" is? A good ribbing back and forth is the part I enjoy. If you can dish it you should be able to take it as they say.
Joe Lee did survive as the 1st stringer because the Wick tranfer fell through. So what? Seth is on the football team and would only wrestle at heavyweight if there was an injury correct? I remember when when Big Snacks was the next upcoming dominate heavyweight at Penn State.

I think Joe Lee would be in the lineup even if Wick did come here. I think Facundo would have shirted.
in defense of turk, i think a lot of his tone ends up getting lost in the text. i get the sense he's a guy who likes to tease/jest people in a friendly nature, but that can be hard to convey through message boards posts. i bet a lot of his stuff would come across a lot better in person if, for example, you were sitting next to each other at ncaa's.

Wild Turk…Hate all things Black and Yellow but props to Cassioppi. He looks fantastic. Look forward to watching him compete this year. Still rooting for Kerk…but Tony has made some real strides.

As what I consider to be a neutral and avid wrestling fan, (speaking of myself here) I find Turk to be an asset to this board. And even quite funny at times!

I lost alot of respect for Iowa Hawkeye sports fans in general after they boo'd our injured football players. I don't think you see that in many places, especially in the college ranks.

Did you watch the Under 23 championships yesterday? I love the way he handled the Russian. Tony was smaller but hand fought and held position so well, all while getting his throat wrenched on. He wrestles in the finals this afternoon. Hope he brings home the Gold
