University Nationals

McIntosh lays waste to the field and gives every indication he's going to be a force at the senior level, but the Pie man uses the occasion to talk about the weight he thinks he should have wrestled in college.

Joe Lee makes it to the finals by beating the guys who finished third, fourth and fifth at the weight this weekend, but Spyker uses the occasion to talk about how desperately we need the one guy who finished ahead of him.

You need to learn to smell the roses, gentlemen.

Belly achers will belly ache! That's what they do instead of revealing in the moment and enjoying the accomplishments of these fine young men and a special program.

Lemon Pie smells roses, gets a faceful of thorns.

Context my friend. Context.

Besides, what part of my statement isn't true?
All of it. I remember after Mejia and Renteria committed some thought Iowa was done recruiting lightweights. Iowa is never out of the bidding for lightweights my friend. T&T make sure of that!

Hey i love Joe Lee and know he will be a good college wrestler for us...Just saying David Carr who is in the same grade is on a whole other level if you watch the matches closely....

I do understand your point, but a coach has to build a team that can transition over time without leaving gaps. If you take on too many in some areas, that will leave you thin elsewhere. Iowa is certainly going to be less hungry than a TOSU or PSU for lightweights the next couple years.

Are you really that dense. Carr is NOT in the same class as Lee. Carr just finished his junior year and Lee just finished his soph year. Try paying attention please.

What am I missing here? Is this a parody post of some kind? Carr is in the same class as Joe Lee. He's ranked 2nd in Flo's class of 2018. I had to go back and check. I was pretty sure he was 2018.

Lol...Heck in the same grade or a year apart. LMAO...Point is Carr is a BEAST and we need him to help in our title runs and in turn become great as an individual as well !!!!

true, but chances that he can hold it for at least two is pretty good. The good news is that Iowa is pretty much out of any lightweight bidding the next couple years.

Well I would say that Iowa has done a pretty good job of putting out a balanced lineup top to bottom, with good recruiting/development at most weights. Not many holes. Injuries and behavior problems sure suck dont they? Seth Gross sure looks like he would be the man this year at 141. Too bad!

Anyways I just think that 700+ days is a long time for you to be saying the Hawks are out of the bid for top lightweights. They are loaded down there but a lot can happen in 2 years. Where was Marstellar 2 years ago? (He looked good this weekend btw. Gassed but good)

How did we ever win all those titles without Kyle Snyder, Nick Gwiazdowski, Bo Jordan, Chance Marsteller, Thomas Haines, Cody Wiercioch, Mike Racciato, Ryan Solomon, Josh Kindig, Brooks Black, Andrew Campolattano, Anthony Ashnault, Mike Grey, etc.?

WE SUCK!!!!!!!!?!!!!!!! #%*+[}

I'm just happy it's in my DNA to be ecstatic and content with the all the great things PSU has going on instead of being like some of the others here.

Being a fan of this team is so much more enjoyable the way I decided to go about doing it...

okay, I'm going to try to make my point one last time from a different angle and then give up. I think it's safe to say that tOSU has more of a need for a 125 than Iowa in the near term. Therefore, and unless a kid decides he wants to go to Iowa at his cost, tOSU will likely go after and likely outbid Iowa for that kid's services.

You act like I don't get what your saying. I assure you I do. Two years is a LONG time. That's all.
