USA Today on B1G

Something's up with their B1G coverage lately. They used to be very pro-PSU, but now it's like they're going out of their way to snub PSU. Did you see their Top 10 list of schools combining academics with athletics the other day? They incredibly named OSU No. 1 and PSU wasn't even mentioned. OSU is even starting to claim they have the world's largest alumni association. lol, who do these guys think they're fooling? Wouldn't be at all surprised if Urban has a PR staff dedicated to this sort of thing.

Losing 3 of your last 4 game is not "close"

To play devil's advocate, Michigan could have won every game they lost. They lost to Iowa on a last second FG. OSU went into OT and FSU won the game in the last minute. Not too much of a stretch to say a few plays here in there made the difference between them going undefeated and losing 3 games.

We are what our record says we are.

been that way since its inception. I recall discussing, here in Ohio, the "Big Two Little Eight" or the BTLE decades ago. When they talked Big Ten, I called it the Beetle League. When they protested, I'd bring up their record in the Rose Bowl. Good times. Not so good after we joined (I blame Pitt).

And PSU could have made the final four if only they didn't throw that game ending interception against Pit. Since when does close count? Coulda, woulda, shoulda.

...and its also an article about next year, not last. I understand if they mention UM graduating a ton and having to mature a bunch of blue chippers quickly. However, to not mention PSU and what will probably be the best offense in the Power Five? Crazy.

I like the turd-burger trolls that routinely come on here to lecture us about how the majority of PSU alumns & students love the b1g $hithole and Delany (as well as our corrupt traitorous "politically bought & sold" OGBOT controlling the all-powerful "Executive Committee"), but can't explain why Delany was roundly booed for a prolonged period of time when he addressed the PSU faithful to present the B1G Championship Trophy last year. LMFAO! Then $hithead Douche-bag Delany says, "I have no idea why I was booed...." - IOW, as the head $hithead "imperial master", I have a right to nothing but cheers and these interlopers have offended the royal kingdom known as homer $hitholesville.....

Yea, the majority of the current student-body and alumni just love the b1g $hithole and it's corrupt homer administrators, just like they love the corrupt, human-excrement OGBOT that UNRIGHTEOUSLY, and out of unmitigated self-interest, sold PSU, PSU Football and the PSU Athletics Department down the river to please their political masters, which explains why they consistently BOO these parties IN-FORCE at football games whenever these piece of garbage scumbags attempt to pull their imperialistic bull$hit and speak with "their subjects" at these events??? "The Emperors have no clothes" INDEED!!!

What we are seeing is spite borne out of jealousy and misplaced OUTRAGE. . Penn State Football was supposed to be dead or thoroughly embarrassing on the field. Instead, Penn State has been highly successful, and people hate it. They refuse to acknowledge the program and just look stupid. In the case of the media, they forfeit their credibility.

And PSU was only two pass plays away from only a one loss season.

Hello Get Real. How have you been?

No doubt, many teams have a better case of "Should'a, would'a, could'a" than they ever-typically lame me-$hit-again and duhO$U homer "traditional b1g $hithole" rationalizers and huggers.

I haven't done any fact checking in regards to this claim but, in light of the number of alumni who have dropped out of the AA in recent years, it could be true.

Well, it might also be dues paying vs non dues paying. I know PSU has always stated "dues paying" when discussing this. Though I do know that tOSU's is dues paying--or at least was when I got my life membership (I have my MS from tOSU). It's possible they are giving away memberships to young alums however.

Frankly, tOSU is considerably larger than PSU and turns out more alums every year, so they should have a larger AA.

And doesn't our AA still count life members who have asked to be removed from the rolls??

Wiki, fwiw.

OSU also promotes itself as the largest alumni association in one of those "real life wednesdays" videos.
