Probably needed a machete and an Agent Orange drop to clear that pathClarion to Harvard cannot be a well-worn path

It’s on TracksI can't find Walsh in Flo Arena. About to hang it up.

...they have about 10 mats but no verbal or signage showing who is
on the mat...
It’s impossible to follow of Flo and there’s no video on Track. What a dumb arrangement.
What time do they wrestle the semis? If the pattern holds, it looks like Bartlett will be on mat 1. That looks like the spot where the top-half-of-the-bracket semis are being wrestled.

Bartlett 3-1 over BECAHI’s Harvard commit Herrmann.
He did the same crap in the Quarters. Different story with college rules. No clue what Herrmann's game plan was there as he wrestled from one knee almost entire 3rd period. It was almost impossible for Bartlett to score.
It's called playing to your strengths. No clue what Herrmann's game plan was there as he wrestled from one knee almost entire 3rd period. It was almost impossible for Bartlett to score.
Yet the majority of this board calls out every Hawkeye who wrestles this style. But I guess if the guy is a PSU recruit then it’s good, smart wrestling. It's called playing to your strengths.
Herrmann is a pretty good scrambler and really good on the mat. He's going to win a lot of matches wrestling the way he did. Just not against a talent like Bartlett.
Bartlett with a fine win, nothing to complain about. Basically controlled the whole match, scored when the opportunity presented itself, held position and was never in danger of dropping that match. And Herrmann is really tough.
I've seen those traits in an awful lot of really good D1 wrestlers. Bartlett is pretty advanced.
@Grip220 is just chiming in and complaining because he's butthurt that the Hawk recruit wasn't good enough to do that.
Herrmann is not and never was a PSU recruit.Yet the majority of this board calls out every Hawkeye who wrestles this style. But I guess if the guy is a PSU recruit then it’s good, smart wrestling.
You know what I mean. This style:Herrmann is not and never was a PSU recruit.
Sounds about right to me.Yet the majority of this board calls out every Hawkeye who wrestles this style. But I guess if the guy is a PSU recruit then it’s good, smart wrestling.

You are correct I wanted to see our guy vs yours It would have been a better match to watch. And Henson will be toying with that kid by his RS year in a college match. That said if the guy actually wrestled Bartlett would most likely of scored more points also. It's called playing to your strengths.

Brandon Sorensen was consistently called out for his style and had a pretty good career.I would quibble and say that the majority of this board calls out Hawkeyes who are more interested in getting pushout warnings and points than being opportunistic scorers who dominate position.
Remind me who the wrestler is on Iowa that does that and I will agree that he's a pretty good college wrestler. Maybe Lugo. Who is a pretty good college wrestler.
Except he wrestles that way every match. I would counter with Mark Hall, who will wrestle that way when he has to, but is a lot more talented and has the ability to open it up but is also content not to risk too much if that plays into his opponents gameplan.
