Well any school pass Michigan football in all time wins in our lifetime?

It has already happened. Approximately 67 of those wins were illegitimate due to the Big 10 referines. However, I believe Michigan still has more legitimate wins than Pitt.

Currently at 953. Winning % of .750
Of all the records in sports, the ones that I care least about are all time wins. Who has the most wins in MLB? Most people would say the Yankees. They would be wrong. It's the Giants. The Yankees are actually 8th behind the Cubs, Dodgers, Cards, Braves, Reds, and.... Pirates. You can look it up, but who cares? What I care about is how many wins and championships my favorite team has won since I've been a fan. If I were a Michigan fan I would lament only 1 National Championship in my 60+ years. Pretty sad. :(

Good point, Jovialgent. But since national titles are so subjective in Division 1 football, I don't scoff at their pitiful single 1/2 title.

What should really frost the arrogant wolverines is that since World war II, the almighty maize and blue have had only ONE -- 1 -- one -- undefeated, untied football season. Heck, Joe Paterno himself had TWICE that many in his first 4 years as a head coach!

Think about it ... with alums like Honig and scammers like Witvoet and Lemonier helping them during so many seasons ... Michigan managed all of a single, solitary, all-by-its-lonesome self undefeated & untied season in something like 70 years.

Yet the fan base is still loaded with smug, arrogant .... o_O

michigan stole the stupid helmet from Princeton.
The pattern, which is nothing more than where extra leather and padding were sewn, is the creation of the A. G. Spalding Sporting Goods Co. Princeton head coach Crisler was among the first to put paint on what was a stock item from Spalding that was not created for any particular team.

No 2 on the list is OSU at 911. Do the math - that's 42 behind UM. With Jim getting HIS recruits in place, forget it. Come back in a few years and he'll extend that number so far out people won't be even think about it anymore.

In the last ten years Ohio State has about 27 or so more wins than Michigan. Do the math: even if that pace drops slightly to an average of 2.5 or 2 or even 1.8 more wins per year, OSU will pass Michigan in the lifetimes of many on this board.

As for recruiting from 2016 through 2019,, Harbaugh has done pretty well. Ohio State has done better. PSU has done pretty well, too. Michigan is by no means accelerating away from its competition.

Their goal has never been to win the MNC. It’s always about winning Big 10 and going to rose bowl.

Interesting because they have been very successful in not winning what they don’t care about winning. And not very adept at winning the BIG in this century. They are excellent at repeatedly losing the Rose Bowl whenever they make an appearance.

Sure they are. In losses and not winning big games

I mentioned it here once so forgive me for rerunning it. A client’s son was going to UM in the late 80s. I met him not long after our MNC. We talked football and he said their goal annually is to get to the Tose Bowl. I looked st him stunned and said our goal is to win the MNC. Big philosophical difference.

And why joining the conference was a mistake.
