I personally don't think this will be all that close, team-wise. 133, 141 and 165 match-ups are intriguing, and the Hawks will learn something about their heavy. A couple other bouts will be close too...home mat will be a factor.

No matter who wins at 165 it won’t be an upset. Two very evenly matched guys.

Gross really did not look good. Let Desanto in on his legs with no defense. That being said, desanto looks really good.
Gross got a little careless on those takedowns and paid for it. Can't take anything away from DeSanto though. He saw the openings and went for it.
Interesting takes from some. Really hard to give an Iowa wrestler credit, I'm guessing.

I wouldn't say terrible, but Gross did look rusty perhaps. And DeSanto is tough and just a pain to wrestle, so that didn't help any.
Gross was awful, but hand it to DeSanto, he really took it to him. Is the cut affecting Gross? Not saying it is, just wondering out loud.
Now we're left to 0-0 first periods for a few matches lol. And yes roar I don't like giving Iowa wrestlers credit. Lol

At this point, I think a shut out is quite a bit more likely than an upset. Hilger is good, but Cass might be better. Iowa has a great team this year.
Lugo not the most exciting guy, but he's pretty effective as a grinder. Not everyone can be a scoring dynamo.
