At this point, I think a shut out is quite a bit more likely than an upset. Hilger is good, but Cass might be better. Iowa has a great team this year.
I'm liking out chances at the middle weights. Interested to see Berge and verk and how they do against low scoring wrestlers. It could go out way at the least toss ups

Lugo not the most exciting guy, but he's pretty effective as a grinder. Not everyone can be a scoring dynamo.
It's not that he doesn't score he just shuts down with a lead. He could dominate most people he wrestled if he pushed like desanto

Where would the College Football Playoff Committee rank Wisconsin? #7? They don't seem to be a complete team, they haven't exhibited any match control and aren't wrestling very clean.

Agree that Lugo could do more and is often content to protect a lead. But pushing the pace and trying to dominate just aren't his MO.

I hate to say it but I will. 141 is the only weight we win out of the first 5.
I need to see a healthy Berge at 157 before I agree with that statement.

Think Verk could give Lugo a good match at 149 but right now you'd have to favor Lugo. RBY vs DeSanto would be interesting but PSU would be definite underdog. Lee of course a big favorite at 125, but could potentially be a bit interesting if Teske can make it out of the first period.

Marinelli up 2-1 after 1.

Neutral start in the 2nd.
Same score after 2.

2-2 after a Wick escape early in the 3rd.
Marinelli with a takedown, and a 4-2 win.

Kemerer up big, 10-2 after 1.

Escape and takedown for the Wisconsin wrestler, it's now 10-5 ... and while I'm typing, Kemerer with an escape & takedown for 13-5.

Kemerer gets the fall.

Sebastian v Wilcke 2-2 heading into the 3rd.
3-2 Wilcke now, after an escape.

Wisconsin takedown, now 4-3 Sebastian.
4-4 after an escape.

Heading to Sudden Victory.
No score in SV.

As even as a bout can be.

Takedown in SV-2 for Sebastian.

Cael should consider drawing for the start in the Iowa dual. Lee creates a lot of momentum in what will be a raucous environment. Know he never does that but...

Kemerer
lee
DeSanto

looks good.

others meh

I don’t know about that...Wisky rolled out a pretty solid lineup and Iowa is more than taking care of business. Also, Marinelli has to be on anyone’s “look good” list if you ask me. Score was close, but it never looked in doubt against the #3 kid in the nation that has wins over him. He just doesn’t seem to ever get out of position.

Hey, Wisconsin scored a TD! Took until the 3rd period at 184, but hey, it's something,

Drawing's not a thing anymore. Now they're flipping :).

In 2OT, Sebastian over Cash Wilcke, who according to reliable reports is the most athletic wrestler on the Iowa squad.:oops:

Cassioppi with the first takedown, it's 2-0.
Now 2-1, end of 1st.

Escape Cassioppi in the 2nd, he's up 3-1.
Heading to 3.

Hillger with an early escape, bout now 3-2 Cass.
Ends there.
