Willie Says Teske is Leaving

gosh wilbur, always premature with your actions. remember when bertha would always call you premature willie, while she was playing the banjo.. hahahahaha.

He can certainly prove me wrong but while he might've had potential at 125 I don't see Teske doing much of anything at all at 133. Limited sample of course but his best win this year was a 1 point victory over Laney who was a 2X NQ and went 2-2 in 2017, but he didn't have a good year this year and was pinned 3 times at the MAC tournament alone.

so Willie was right?

Umm, yeah, maybe, sort of? Anyone who predicts both potential outcomes of a strictly binary decision will ultimately be right about one of them. In fact, in this case, I guess you could say Willie was sorta right twice with the two opposing predictions?

@Dogwelder , help me out with this one. Do two rights make a wrong in such a scenario?

I wonder is what happened in april to push willie in both those directions.

Obviously he was to something

No offense to Willie, but even a broken clock is right twice a day.
Actually, since Willie deleted his clock hands, he was not right even once in the clock sense:

Askren was pretty tough on Teske for making the decision to leave on FRL today.

If you didn’t hear, he basically said Brody should have stayed at PSU in order to reach a new level and wanting to be a blue color tough guy will just make him a tough mediocre guy the rest of his career.

Yeah, Ben is pretty much a believer that no one develops guys to the next level like Cael does.

I liked what Ben said next. When someone countered Ben’s Teske take (that Teske would have developed more at PSU) by pointing out that Suriano left and became a blue-collar tough-guy champion, Ben said that if Suriano had stayed, he would have become an even more skilled champion.

If he went somewhere other than close to home, I would agree with this more. Seems homesickness played a factor in his decision.

Yep, when things aren't going the way you hoped, it is human nature to try to grasp at something familiar and solid.
And it has been debated ad nauseam, but does Suriano have problems culturally at PSU if he wins the title in 2017?
Like Dennis Miller said in one of his comedy routines; "No one finds God on Prom Night."

In 12+ years of doing this i never reported one thing incorrectly. in april i tweeted teske was leaving. do the math. smoke = fire.

I think PSU is an expensive school for an out of state kid on a partial scholarship. It most likely seemed worth it when he had visions of being a key cog in the wheel of team titles. Brody is a hard working great guy and can get an opportunity to succeed at UNI for a fraction of the debt. It really might be the best move for him and his family. I wish him nothing but the very best.

Well he is obviously wrong. According to Iowa fans Cael hasn’t ever developed anyone. He only wins because he recruits guys who are national champs when they get to PSU.
