Allar Game time Decision

Many moons ago, I had an MCL sprain and was able to go the next week. However, I was 12 and there are all different levels of sprain. That is, of course, if it is an MCL.

Best case is Allar being able to play. If his mobility or ability to step into throws is limited, we're better off letting him get healed and go with Beau. OSU has to prepare for both so that helps no matter what.

No one is mentioning

I saw a few plays where he got beat. It looks to me like he plays too tall and guys get under him and drive him back. I'm no OL expert tho.
That's the problem real tall tackles have to deal with. Height is mostly beneficial (longer arms, difficult to get around), but can cause some issues with strong bull rush (guy gets into chest and long arms and height become a detriment)
and guys able to get real bend around the edge (difficult for tall guy to get low while maining strong base).

Football Latest on QB Drew Allar's injury status for Saturday's game

I would tend to agree with all three, no inside info on No. 1 btw, just my gut.

When is media practice availability? Watching for Allar there will tell us more. No idea when he would have had an MRI (my guess would have been this morning), but results from that matters along with how it feels as the week progresses.

No comments on Drew cussing out a fan?

as of yet no one knows exactly what this was all about so the speculation is as meaningless as the action itself.

Bingo. NBC cameras were all over it, but the announcers didn't really say anything on it.

Yes. There is nothing to be gained by yelling at fans. You can see the assistant trying to get him out of there

Which is exactly what you want in the situation. The assistant wasn't the target, but he intervened well enough.

My "reading between the lines" take:

1. Allar is going to try, but I don't think he will play.
2. Prepping your 3rd QB sounds all nice and lovely, but if Allar can't play, Grunk is the new backup.
3. Beau's style is a lot of running. All QBs are one hit from being out.

Football Latest on QB Drew Allar's injury status for Saturday's game

I don't think a running threat isn't needed by any stretch but if Allar's not able to move in the pocket or take off in certain circumstances it's detrimental
I still think, not just you, way too many people just love the dual threat guys and dislike pocket passers.
The best choice against OSU is your best QB--that's Allar.
Yes, but not if he has limited mobility. It's asking for the possibility of further and more serious injury. Not worth the risk.
