Landon Tengwall is confident that Allar has a Grade 1 MCL injury.

I watched the game. I thought that Beau did great considering he is a Soph and doesn't get the first-team reps. But he also looked really shakey those first two possessions. I also thought the team didn't look as settled on offense with him in there. While I am comfortable with Beau at QB this week, Allar gives us our best chance to win.

Agree, except that Beau attempted/made some passes that I don't think Allar tries. Like those crossers where the receiver wasn't that open.

Jaylin Reed was penalized 15 yards following his game changing pick six because he gave the ball to his mother who sitting nearby in the stands.

Despite the great play that Reed had just made to intercept the pass and return it for a TD, I was not pleased that there was a penalty called on him that used the word taunting and provided no explanation.

I don't like the word 'taunting' being used in describing an activity of any of our players. Ever.

Context matters.

All the casual fans heard was a PSU player returned an interception for a TD and got called for a taunting penalty. They're just like all the other teams.....
Fair enough--which is why I support the argument to change the rule

PRIBULA!!!!

Hate to prove you wrong again, but if you watched the Colorado-Cincinnati game, you would have seen Deion talk about how great it was to get the win to become bowl eligible. For further proof, see this:

Watch the full press conference about "how it's nice" they have bigger goals
I'll help you out
“That's (bowl eligibility) not all we're after,” Coach Prime said. “That's one of the hurdles that we're jumping over, that we're going over. That's a tremendous hurdle, that we're happy, we're excited, but that's not the end goal for us."
All teams, real competitors, set real goals--going to a bowl so his kid and Hunter can skip it, isn't an important goal--just shows improvement.

Penn State vs Pitt in playoffs!

By the time Pitt gets dumped by SMU, loses to Clemson and possibly Louisville they'll be on their way to another Sun Bowl appearance. Reality will set in over the next month. They've not played in a hostile environment on the road, nor have they played a team with a pulse. Yes Holstein is a good QB and yes they have shown good character coming back late in a couple ball games but Pitt in the playoffs is a long shot.
Don’t count on SMU or Louisville as Pitt has a good QB, a really fast running back, and a good defense. And Clemson isn’t what it used to be and, a with a couple breaks, Pitt could pull off the upset as they have done to Clemson in the past.

I thought they said "Unsportsmanlike conduct - taunting" which is how they're supposed to announce it. If the ref just said "taunting" you're right

Bo Bassett thread

Clearly just wins. Because there's no way he comes close to the bonus points that Bassett is going to put up.
From what we've seen, Basset is a bonus point producer. But is "wins" enough to say Blaze will have a stronger NCAA career and beyond? What if Basset and Blaze have similar win total? Yanni has four titles, but I would take Nolf, Nichal, Retherford, Taylor any day of the week (not because they were former Lions) because their wins were dominant and, don't forget, exciting. To have a stronger career, I think many factors should be included, not just wins for that justification.

Again, I hope we get both. But for Blaze, I do hope he is not gun shy like Barlett offensively. I know that may be a bit unfair because we don't know what he will do in college. So I will just end it there.

I very much want Allar to play in this game. He’s playing well and he needs this opportunity to rid himself of this Michigan/Ohio State monkey that’s on his back. That he falls apart against the big boys on the schedule. It would do wonders for his development and the team’s chances going forward if he plays well this coming Saturday.

Will Howard ALREADY running his pie hole with bulletin board material

OSU never offered Rothlesberger, Kelce Brothers, or Trent Cole. None of them are complaining.
its just noise. meaningless. Kid is trying to get himself stoked up. Rucci, for example, was excited to play against his former teammates. Allar didn't get an offer from tOSU until late and it was clear they wanted a different player more. Big deal.

PRIBULA!!!!

Coach Prime, for example, does nothing about talk about winning the Big XII and contending for titles. That's what elite athletes want--they want to contend for titles.
