A buddy and I got standing room only tickets for the 2001 Game 6 DBacks vs Yankees. We made friends with the security guard behind home plate above the 100 level on the concourse and watched the entire game from there. After the blowout win, we scalped another pair of SRO for Game 7 and planned the same strategy.

The next night they scanned our tickets and they were fake. We paid $150 each. Not bad considering Game 6 was $100. We tried to find other tix but were unsuccessful. DBacks went on to win in an epic game. We were pissed.

Also went to Game 5 last year with my daughter (she treated me) and saw the Rangers close it out against the DBacks. 😢

The real winners is wrestling fans. Parker and Carter should be a good match. A match of quality wrestlers with slightly different styles. I am excited to see them get after it. I win just because the match happens.

But I do have to say, it was a massive mistake for the government to push “college for all” from the 1980’s until recently. It was both Republican and Democrat administrations that did it and its consequences are wide ranging.

I'm basing my comment on what both of my kids and their friends were told by school counselors. I was made to be the bad guy by telling them that while it's important to pursue a career in something you enjoy it's equally important to choose a field where you can make a good living.

I bet half of all college students wind up in a relatively low playing job that had nothing to do with their major. Even worse a lot of them are graduating with substantial debt.

If you persuade your kids to avoid this kind of trap I applaud you.

I also highly doubt anybody gave Cael and ultimatum. Nor do I believe for a second Kraft would make a statement such as "many alumni would love to come back and coach here". If however, he was pissed enough for some reason to make such a dumbassed statement he sure wouldn't make it anywhere that it may get repeated.

I also believe the economics are easy enough to explain, so I doubt very much this is something Cael has a huge issue with. Actually over the past couple of seasons Cael's messaging at times had me thinking he is preparing us for the eventual move with little tidbits here and there.

It really didn’t take all that much to be a multi millionaire. If you were a professional couple and got on when the elevator came down in 2008 and stayed fully invested until today you should be in great shape.

I think you read too much into my post. There are a lot of jokers out there wishing a Keck win because they don't like Carter. A lot of fans, I'm not saying that's you.

But you are picking the same guy as them. You think it's 50/50, I don't see that at all. Like I said, I guess we'll see. But I'm betting on the guy who's career is unmatched by all except if very select few in the history of NCAA wrestling. That ain't Keck.
