Bo Bassett thread

Kudos to the kid, he obviously has wrestling figured out but also has a lot of other things figured out. I know I was looking forward to his emails on Wednesdays. Most of us had paper route type jobs at his age. He has NIL and stacking his retirement as a young kid.

I think we get him at PSU but couldn’t imagine other programs going all in on him knowing not only a great wrestler but he could chance their entire program & image. I think he would instantly add fans and future recruits.
I think Blaze is a slightly better wrestler, but Bassett brings so much to a program.
He reminds me of a young David Taylor and I am sure DT is trying to use that comparison when talking with him.

Rumor: Home duals to be held at BJC beginning 2025-26

Put 3 Matches a year in BJC.
1.A marque match with premium for tickets,
2. A match against military academy with discounted tickets offered to Vets.
3. A mid level match opponent with group discount sales for youth and high school programs.
All current tix holders have tix for those matches.
Make 50- 100 dollar donation per seat for season ticket holders. That's 350k-700k in revenue.
It still keeps some of the history of Rec Hall and allows guys like me a chance to see a couple of matches without potentially paying a premium for tickets.

The "past world medalist" criterion has no expiration. It previously did, but that was waived during Covid because of event cancellations. And whaddayaknow, USA Wrestling kept it because it widened the developmental talent pool (the Olympic Shirt's purpose).

Also, this is not an NCAA definition. This is a USA Wrestling definition, that NCAA abides by.

It’s the same response you’d get if you posted on a chiefs message board that you predict Josh Allen will have a better season than Mahomes. You don’t think you’d get eyerolls?

Great news, boys!

I got my second Covid booster shot today, along with a flu shot.

No arm soreness or other symptoms so far. But I now have additional protection against the less dangerous but still pesky strains of Covid that are still circulating.

I know you guys (especially LyinDementia and Mrs. Fapper) will be relieved to learn that I have taken these steps to safeguard my personal good health. :cool:
