Voters in swing states deem the greater threat to democracy to be Kamala Harris, who is running on a “save democracy” platform.

The poll sampled 5,016 registered voters in Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.

When asked whether Trump or Harris “would do a better job” of “defending against threats to democracy,” 43% picked Trump while 40% picked Harris.

Notably, this was the same result when President Biden was the nominee. While over half said that threats to democracy were important to them, the voters trusted Trump (44%) more than Biden (33%) in protecting democracy.

Even with the slight improvement for Harris, the result was crushing for not just many in the Harris campaign but the press and pundits who have been unrelenting in announcing the end of democracy if Harris is not elected.

If Miami wins the ACC at 11-2, they are the 3 or 4 seed regardless of the record of any other teams. Iowa State/BYU or whoever comes out of the Big 12, they will be the other 3 or 4. Its set.

There's a reason why Carter was a blue chipper but not some "can't miss" level recruit. He was getting brutalized early in the room. Something clicked for him early on here.

Exactly. Any sport which proves to be self-sustaining is going to be in good shape moving forward. Allow wrestling to pay for itself, and tough decisions won't have to be made. Many other sports are going to find out the hard way.

However, it's not just the poor in an existential crisis. It runs the spectrum from all the way up to all the way down. Just look at the statistics of psycho-social dysfunctionality.

This is a crisis of meaning...of failure to understand who we are and how we fit in this miraculous universe. It affects all ages and economic groups. In fact, nobody is immune...least of all our kids.

$50 times 20,000 applying for tickets is $1M and tickets on top of that which are currently ($290 each) adds up to a LOT of dollars,

Have you guys been paying attention to what's been happening in college sports the last couple of years?

This is actually good news. It means the athletic department is making future plans with wrestling in mind and not just paying attention to football. And it means we will continue to have the resources available to keep the dynasty going 5, 10 years from now.

Whether there is anyone left to wrestle is another story.

I can tell you for a fact that there are Penn State players who try to use the "I'm on the football team." card to get girls. And there are also girls stupid enough to fall for it, and put themselves in situations where they are alone in a room. So the coaching staff needs to remind the athletes about consent issues on a weekly basis- not just after something bad happens, or once early in the season.
