This is a funny commercial about a poor guy named Michael Jordan. He should probably just go by "Mike". Anyway, I used to work with a guy named Ty Woods. he made golf reservations at Kanapali Maui for 7am. He showed up and it looked like the entire staff was there to greet him. Of course, they thought Tiger Woods was playing a round.

I get the same reaction on blind dates…..🥲

What if Joe Biden was the better candidate all along?

Oh brother. We've all seen the dotard in real time. Is the left seriously asking if THAT was better than Harris? BWHAHHAHAHAHAHHAAHAHAHAHA......... HO-LEE-SHIT.

Funnier yet is the question of "should we have hidden it better?" "Thought experiment." lol

https://thehill.com/opinion/campaign/4941734-biden-harris-woodward-presidential-election/

With the Nov. 5 election just over a fortnight away, here is an intriguing thought experiment.

By most accounts, the election is still a horse race too close to call. But although Vice President Kamala Harris quickly assumed the presidential mantle from Joe Biden and put in place an impressive start-up, October has not been particularly kind to her. Donald Trump
has closed the electoral gaps, and some believe he is actually leading.
No matter who wins, we have to ask: Would President Biden have been a better candidate and choice despite suffering from the effects of age and 81 years? Further, suppose that the disastrous June 27 debate with Trump had not taken place, or that Biden had been firing on all cylinders that night. Would Biden have been forced to withdraw? And whether Harris loses or wins, some will ask whether Biden might still have been a better candidate.

Bob Woodward’s
new book, “War,” might not be dispositive in representing Biden’s strengths and weaknesses. The book does add weight to this thought experiment, though. Woodward paints a very positive picture of Biden’s ability to lead and to govern despite making mistakes, most notably the disastrous withdrawal from Kabul.

Did anyone else see the not reviewable call get reviewed in the Texas/Georgia game.

My own human reaction is that during the bottle throwing scrum, the refs looked at replays on the video boards and/or replay called down (illegally, but shouldn't be) and said "you got this wrong, let's fix it". Live, it was pretty bang bang and I didn't think that any penalty occurred. Upon replay, it looked more like OPI than DPI.

After it was said and done, Texas couldn't get back into the game any further than the 2nd TD. UGA scored again and held them out from scoring.

I didn't watch the 2nd half of the game so was unaware of the controversy before reading this thread and watching the replay posted above.

It's a little mindboggling the way it was handled. We've all seen flags picked up before...but never anything remotely approaching the scene after that (wrong) DPI call.

So they did end up getting it right, and some people might say that's the main thing. On the other hand, bad calls (or bad non-calls) are a part of the game. You can't very well litigate them under a hail of water bottles.

I think your analysis of how it went down is pretty much on target except I'm thinking that the television commentary may have been another part of the equation. I mean, Herbie and Fowler were blasting the call.

All in all: bad look...bad precedent...right result. And the irony is that it ended up making no difference to the outcome of the game, which is fortunate. If it had ended up being key in hanging a 2nd loss on Georgia, there would be hell to pay in SEC land.

The official SEC position is that the officials overturned the original call after review. I think they let the crowd influence the decision. The initial call was terribly wrong, but they have set a very bad precedent IMO.
If you listen to the talking heads on game days every play is reviewable. While I don't know that to be true it is reasonable and if that were truly the case, we might not have gotten screwed so much through the years.

This is funny. One a side note, a guy I know did a marketing deal with Shaq in Vegas. He said Shaq was great and they became friends. Shaq likes to talk smack. So Shaq made a mistake on TNT one day so my friend text him to make fun of him. Shaq went on Twitter and said he was doing something and posted my friend's mobile number for people to call in order to get in on whatever Shaq said he was cooking up. My friend's phone blew up at 1am and he had to shut it off.. When he turned it back on he had hundreds of VMs. He had to go to the phone store and get a new number. Game, set and match, Shaq.

Screw You Fox Sports

You want a night game in November in Beaver Stadium. I guess you aren't going to the game. You won't get much energy when most of the fans are frozen.

Too funny, the average night temperature for State College, PA for Nov 2 is 45° (average high daytime temperature is 52°). I don't think anybody will be "frozen" unless we had one of the coldest 11/2's on record.
