Recruiting other team's commits

So long as PSU is beating the shit out of everyone year in and year out everyone involved with or rooting for every other program is gonna piss their pants whining about how everything PSU does is either cheating or unethical.

And as long as they’re doing so, they’ll never catch up.
It's just one more thing that everybody else does but not as well as Cael.

House v. NCAA NIL settlement & related fallout

I rarely watch any professional sports anymore and not much college football anymore. Never cared for college hoops (seen better games in a playground). Money is and will continue to ruin college spirts.
I am with you. I didn't miss a Steelers game for decades. Gave that up for college and now haven't watched a college game for at least 5 years.

Of course there are a lot of factors, quarterback being one very important one. Notice the history of the Patriots without Brady. Ownership is another. Ownership sets the tone for the whole organization. Most of the winners are well run football operations. Most of the losers are poorly run, as Obliviax says not considering profits. Minnesota and Buffalo are outliers. The odds of their great teams losing every Super Bowl appearance didn’t even out.

Oregon OSU ending getting NCAA review

Yes. The Good Lord blessed us with our eyes to see and our brains to reason. We can see clocks run out and time put back on. We can see play clocks expire and no penalty called. We can see passes one-hop to the receiver and called completion. We know how the Big Ten operates.
Some focus on the game, the athleticism, the effort etc. Others focus on the officiating. Whatever is your cup of tea.

Colin Cowherd

He was complimentary of PSU. Said it was a very good and impressive win, complemented the team, talked about Warren, etc. He ate crow and did a major flip from ‘people are going to need to apologize to Lincoln Riley’ to ‘USC is young at key positions and isn’t getting it done’ (paraphrasing).

He did say PSU was a good team. Didn’t think they’d beat elite teams like Texas, Georgia, Ohio St but otherwise a very good team.

Funny...he said the LA Coliseum is the best place to watch college football?!

I thought he blamed USC for the loss more than give PSU credit. He said of Allar "There is something there." I mean, he had 391 yards passing. USC has a very talented roster, probably more so than PSU overall. He did talk about how hard it is for a college team to fly 4 hours to play a football game given a) the lack of time the players are allowed to spend on football versus an NFL team and b) how that cuts into practice time. If you have six days of practice, Sat to Sat, you really only get five practice days since one is a complete travel day.

Ahhh, whatever.

Pretty interesting graphic.

If you look at it, you'll see that the last 25 years have been dominated by KC, NE, PItt, NYG, Tampa and the Ravens. 17 of the last 25 to be precise. The Raiders have been moving all over the west coast and LV so it is hard to find consistency and continuity. The Browns foundation was bad and is still bad (ownership). Same is true of the Cowboys under JJ (although he's made a ton of dough). Buff, Cincy, CLE, Detroit are all nasty cities to play in with zero recent history of success. It is hard to build a program.

One can also look at this by QB. Brady and Mahomes have won ten championships in 25 years. Add in the two Mannings and Ben (Steelers) and that brings that total to 16. Its a QBs league and that is why teams sacrifice the entire franchise to get "that guy".
Obli, great analysis as always. Your football knowledge cannot be questioned. Love and respect ya man, but
