For those that believe the B1G has it on for PSU

Interesting illustration, never saw SOS displayed that way before. One thing that this makes clear is how rare it is for upset victories. This is the thing the Franklin haters like to harp on but as seen here nobody is winning those games. The only reason Franklin has so many is due to tenure, coaches of most of these schools don't last for 10 years to accrue the same poor win % as an underdog against ranked and top 10 teams.

I'd probably group teams into tiers in this illustration, both by current team performance and maybe by expected or historical performance coming into the season. Historical Tier 1s would be OSU, UM, PSU, USC and maybe Oregon, although I might consider them Tier 1b. I fully expect that some of the bottom teams would end up playing more games against top tier conference opponents simply because the top teams most likely told the Big 10 they will not accept playing more than 2 such games in a season unless all of their peer programs also have to do the same in order to level the playing field. The easiest way out of that argument is for the Big 10 to limit the top programs to a max of 2 or 3 games against tier 1 opponents per season. It's also in the conferences best interest to do so, in order to best position their tier 1 programs to make the playoffs which is the exposure the conference wants and brings in more CFP allocation money.
Winners have easier schedules than losers? Hmmmm . . .

Basketball Penn State Basketball fends off Purdue Fort-Wayne to move to 5-0

I don't know if this team is good enough to get a tournament bid. They rely on Baldwin to play so many minutes. Hopefully he stays healthy. Also I still don't know how well Konan will hold up against more physical players.

That said I feel confident that we have the right coach. I don't think he looks at PSU like a short term stepping stone. He seems totally committed to making PSU a strong competitor in the BiG.
Don’t forget that Miles Goodman is injured but will be back soon.

Good news! We're safe

Michigan doesn't have the horses to remotely compete with Ohio State this year. It would take a monumental choke, a lot of turnovers, which won't happen because Ohio State can run the ball.
Michigan’s defense will keep them in it. If Nebraska can almost beat Ohio State then Michigan can beat them. The amount of pressure that will be on Ryan Day to win will be immense.

The ICC Arrest Warrants

The ICC has issued Arrest Warrants for Netanyahu and Gallant for "War Crimes," (and get this) for Crimes against Humanity extending from OCTOBER 8TH, 2023 to May 2024! Imagine the very day after Hamas and Iran murdered Israelis (mostly civilians) Israel embarked on the defense of the country which entailed of course locating and taking out the Hamas criminals who murdered and tortured and kidnapped countless Israelis and Americans civilians. Hamas, of course, being the cowards, they are embedded themselves in Palestinian civilian locations.
Yet Amal Clooney and the antisemitic clowns who comprise the ICC immediately started on the course of prosecuting Netanyahu and Gallant for their efforts which were taken clearly for the destruction of those who initiated this horrendous conflict. So, the principles of self-defense are not available for a countries effort in defending its citizens from further harm.
Israel should issue arrest warrants for CLOONEY and all members of the ICC who by their actions are supporting the terrorists by attempting to place Israel in further harm by prosecuting those who are committed to protecting the country.

Joey Galloway suggests Indiana should consider benching their starting QB vs Indiana.

My gripe with the SEC schmucks and ESPNalities as they tear down Indiana is NOT that Indiana's schedule has been daunting. It's that Indiana has been annihilating foes. Top 25 teams don't annihilate every foe.

Only Michigan was less than a 14 point win. Michigan will sneak into a bowl at 6-6. Other probable bowl teams they beat...UCLA, Washington, Nebraska.

They aren't sneaking past average teams. They are dominating. That's what top 10 teams do.

I think they'll put up a fight in Columbus this weekend...and that should solidify their worthiness. (But ESPN will probably try to use it to say that Ohio State isn't that good and Texas should be higher...rather than admit that Indiana is just a very good team this year.)
We'll find out. I don't believe for a second they'll put up a fight. Ohio State is looking to make a statement. They want the 1 or 5 seed.

Drexel dual - Sun, Nov 17

Facundo is now a bit of an enigma for me. His freestyle chops did not display vs Drexel. On paper that is just the kind of match where he should have put on a takedown clinic for a tech.

Down two weight classes is no friggin joke. This weekend is the big reveal, but our confidence was shaken. If he proves to be hot/could week to week from tough cuts I won't feel any better.

I went in to the Drexel match jazzed for him, more than hopeful, and thinking a Kasak shirt is a near no brainer. I hate to be a flip flopper, but ... Lets talk Monday.
