Football POLL: Which game would you prefer for the White Out?

Would you rather the White Out be a Night game versus Illinois or day game versus Ohio State

  • Primetime vs. Illinois

  • Noon Kickoff vs. Ohio State

    Votes: 6 24.0%

Sounds like Illinois at Penn State will be a primetime game on NBC, which is the only projected night game so far for the Nittany Lions. Also Ohio State / Penn State a few weeks later is projected to be the Big Noon Kickoff.

So the question is, would you prefer a night White Out game versus a meh opponent or a noon White Out against the big name?

OT-Solar Panels with Net Metering in PA - Pros/Cons

Can any of my PSU brethren with any experience with this provide some advice.

Company reps walking thru our development offering:

-Free install and maintenance
-Size based on our prior year usage.
-They own and insure.
-One free removal and replacement of panels when new roof is needed.
-Rate slightly lower than current electric
-Annual increase of 2.9%
-25 year guarantee. We own after 25 yrs. Can buy out earlier at a sliding scale after 6 years.
-Biggest selling point seems to be hedge against coming utility increases.

Anyone have any suggestions or things we need to consider?

Thanks!

Top 3 Wish List

Of all the targets we have a good shot at committing (which is not Porter) who are your top 3?

No order:

Carroll or Goodman - If Carroll is an OT at PSU he makes the list. If not it's Goodman because OT is very important and these two are pretty darn good, though I like Carroll better if he is OT.

Granville - Dudes thick and jacked already and has elite burst/speed/explosion

Finney or Cyrus - Ok I know said 3. For the record I think Finney is the better overall prospect. But w/ the need at WR maybe Cyrus?

FB Recruiting Updates / Tidbits from May 31st OV weekend

I also have these players organized in more than less, my confidence in Penn State's chances of landing them. When it comes to potential commitments this weekend or in the future.

Keeping close eye on this weekend; Kemajou, Cyrus

Good spot but will likely take other visits Branch, Finney, Works, Simms

TBD: Littleton, Goodman.

Work to be done: Granville, Jackson, Porter

When it comes to Granville and Jackson, can't stress enough that Penn State really has done a great job in both but both will just be very tough to get out of the south, very similar to Jamonta Waller last year. That being said, if Penn State was able to add either or both to their class, it wouldn't be a surprise either due to the strong relationships the staff has built with both targets.

With Quincy Porter, they'd need a near perfect OV to give themselves a strong chance heading into the rest of his official visits. Ohio State and Michigan have done a very good job in that one and those are the two I'd probably keep a close eye on for him.
