I don't like Trump, but I'm voting for him. Here's why many Americans will, too.

@fbh1 should learn from Ms. Russell

https://www.usatoday.com/story/opin...g-trump-harris-economy-inflation/75836771007/

I'm a Republican, but I don't like Donald Trump. I also don't identify with MAGA Republicans, especially the cult-like following the former president has here in Texas.

The riot at the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, that Trump encouraged was the watershed moment that forced me to rescind my previous support for him. It was an egregious incident in American history.

For many reasons, I could make a compelling case that Trump is unfit for the presidency. I'll always be disappointed that Republican primary voters chose him again to represent millions of conservatives.

However, I will vote for Trump this election. About 75 million Americans, perhaps more, also will vote for him. Here's why.

Donald Trump's stronger on policy

Kamala Harris is too extreme

Tens of millions of Americans will vote for Trump

B1G cross country travel w/l records

Wondering if anyone has information tracking the win/loss records of Conference teams that have had to travel from one coast to the other? Most teams have played 10 games at this point. I know we beat USC and Indy won at UCLA. Some ACC teams have also had to deal with this. I remember Miami won at Cal earlier this season. I really think the extended travel is a huge advantage for the home team. Just want to see if the numbers back this up.

I hope CJF and Kraft submit a formal request to the B1G Commissioner asking for a formal inquiry into Joel Klatt's (FOX Sports) on-air statement....

.....that he and the FOX Sports crew were told by the B1G Officiating Crew that they "we're going to let them play today" implying that they were not going to call penalties regardless if Infractions occurred (and this is precisely when Klatt disclosed the statement - after both Liam Clifford and Tyler Warren were both blatantly held throughout their patterns and then were blatantly hit, and tackled, before the ball arrived during PSU's 2nd and 3rd consecutive offensive series (both on 3rd Down plays), Klatt identified both as clear and obvious penalties, but then explained the non-calls by what he, and the FOX Crew, were told by the B1G Officiating Representatives - "They said they were going to let them play today" and this probably explains why BOTH obvious Defensive Holding AND Pass Interference went uncalled to PSU's detriment.). The FOX Crew went on to identify 4 other penalties throughout the broadcast that "OSU probably got away with" while reviewing replays of big plays directly after they occurred.

CJF and Kraft should inquire who all the B1G Officiating Office Representatives told as to their intent not to enforce obvious infractions of the NCAA Rulebook - was Ohio State told of this intention?

Kraft and CJF should also inquire as to the Commissioner's and Head Of B1G Officiating what their formal position is on their Officiating Crews telling the B1G's Broadcast Company Affiliate that they don't intend to call penalties even if their obvious infractions? Also ask them of their formal position of their B1G Employees telling the B1G Broadcasting Company's Affiliate such a statement so they could use it during their B1G Broadcast to explain non-calls of obvious Rulebook Infractions.

Film Study - Warren as "The Sun" in PSU Offense

TYLER WARREN FILM STUDY

See link above. Coach has been bugging to do a Warren exclusive video for about a month now...this seemed like the perfect spot for one. Codutti basically said the fact that Warren is "the sun" in this offense and everything revolves around him -- a tight end -- is the most unique thing he's ever seen in football. Hyperbole? Probably. But I did ask him how much of this Warren-centric playcalling has to do with Kotelnicki recognizing his freakazoid talents and how much of it has to do with the OC's lack of confidence in the WR and RB group...Codutti said 50-50.

Just say it already!

I can't count how many interviews I've seen with magats where they say they support him because they like Diaper Don's policies. Every time they've been asked about specific policies they freeze up and fail to come up with a specific one they like so they just say "The border." My question is why do they have to dance around the issue (and for that matter why does Mango Mussolini)? Just say you like him because he's a racist. Nobody is going to be shocked to find this out, ffs literal nazis waving swastika flags are supporting him. If your political movement is made up of 99% white people including nazis, kkk, proud boys and other extremist groups you're a racist.

Beau Pribula

I just wanted to give a shout out to #9. I was at the game yesterday, and he was fantastic! Not only did that one WR (#12?) flat out drop a wide open TD that landed right in his breadbasket, but on the play just prior to his long TD run, Beau threaded the needle perfectly, hitting the receiver in the head.

TW and DA deserve all the praise they get, but Pribula is starting to really look like a good QB.

My thoughts on 47's picks so far.

Generally great. Not traditional, hopefully disruptive. Some definitely deserve a serious review and not a rubber stamp. Importantly the process should be advise and CONSENT. The President should get deference and only if serious conflicts/legal problems/moral problems should you vote against him/her. It shouldn't be policy the Pres gets to pick.

I think the 4 obvious people that need serious reviews are RFKJ, Tulsi, Gaetz and Hegseth.
RFKJ has had some serious anti vax things said against him in the past.He needs to explain.I have heard him interviewed and I am personally comfortable. Forgetting the vax issue, COVID did so much to ruin the previously great reputation of the CDC that CDC, NIH and FDA need complete overhauls. Let them ask all the hard questions, he should pass easily. odds 80-20
Tulsi - More isolationist than many R's we need her balance viewpoint to the neocons. They will fight her but Trump needs her input. Rubio is a bit of a hawk so he can be a counter weight. Let's dispense once and for all of the Russia asset nonsense. She should pass. 80-20
Hegseth. Good resume but unknown. Needs to show the committees some gravitas. 60-40
Gaetz - Don't know much but what I know I don't like. There is no way he gets confirmed without the Senate seeing the report on him. I would prefer he becomes a sacrificial lamb for the others. DoJ/FBI need a wrecking ball but I think, Cruz, Lee or DeSantis would all do that with much less pushback. 35-65. IMO AG IS THE MOST IMPORTANT POSITION OF ALL TO CLEAN HOUSE AT DOJ AND FBI. I wish I liked his pick.
The rest are super strong My favs are Radcliff, Burgum, and Jay Buttacharia [sp] if he gets NIH.

Jack Smith re=charging DJT for 1/6 as 'candidate Trump'

After the SCOTUS ruled a POTUS has almost total immunity for official decisions SC Smith obtained a new gj indictment against 'Candidate Trump'. This will remove the actions from being official to private and as such not be immune from prosecution. The Trump legal team and Don-Old himself are quite upset about this.
The trump legal folks have 30 days to respond to the newly charged criminal acts.

Playoffs

This team is built for a postseason run!

Now, does that mean we’ll go on to win the championship, highly unlikely!

However, with that being said, with Georgia losing today to Ole Miss anything is possible, especially, in a 12 team playoff.

Ultimately, I would like our chances against just about anyone in a home playoff game on December 20th - 21st

Defense is dominant, running game is plenty good enough, Tyler Warren is a phenomenal weapon to have in December at Beaver stadium.

Very excited going forward from here!

Drew Allar - The Game Manager

We are not going to go far in the playoffs with Drew REFUSING to throw downfield.

Was at game last week and seen WRs/TEs wide open 4 times where he checked down or scrambled, instead of throwing to them wide open. Today we saw same thing. People need to stop thinking its just the WRs not getting open because that is not always the case.

Check out replay on the deep TD to Wallace. On that play Drew initially looked to his left and over the middle. Warren was WIDE OPEN deep no defender within 10-15 yds. Drew looked at him and didn't throw. Then when Wallace was wide open Drew waited and waited and you could see his reluctance when he FINALLY threw deep to Wallace on the TD. He got the TD but its an example of first having Warren wide open on his first read but not pulling the trigger.

The reason Drew has hardly any Ints and a 70% completion rate is because he throws short easy passes and hardly anything downfield.

I dont care if we beat a cream puff like Washington or Purdue by 100 pts. When Drew refuses to throw downfield vs playoff teams is where it will hurt us. We cannot dink and dunk with a QB refusing to throw downfield, unless he gets clearance from the State Dept of Defense and expect to win many playoff games.

On the flip side did you see how quick Beau threw deep to #12 Ivey, on the dropped pass? With Beau there was NO hesitation. As soon as he saw Ivey open deep he threw to him.

And NO I am NOT saying Beau should play over Drew. It's just an example of one QB that doesnt hesitate when he has man open deep to where Drew doesn't throw.
