We can still win this tournament. I think we can get 5 guys to the finals. That will decide it. Need our stars to shine tonight.
184 Quarterfinals: Bo Nickal vs. Max Dean (Cornell)
Per 1
Bo tries a duck, nothing. Max looks quicker than his older brother, but not as big. Bo in on a single and drives thru for the TD, 2-0. OOB with 1:28 left. Bo cuts him, 2-1. Dean shoots, Bo counters and gets behind for the TD, 4-1. Bo looking for a cradle, but gives it up. Goes for another, but Dean is up and out, 4-2. RT over 1 min. End. RT @ 1:07 for Bo

Dean takes bottom. Bo tilts him and gets 2 NF. Cornell throws a challenge brick as Dean gets an esc. Going to video review. Nickal's ankle is getting taped during the review. Appears the challenge is on an illegal hold by Bo. Well, it's 4-3, and they are starting back down, so an illegal hold on Bo. Dean to his feet, and he's out with 1:26 left., 4-4. Bo with a high crotch/fireman's carry for a TD, 6-4. Dean to his feet, but tripped back down. OOB with 39 sec left. Dean works up,and he's out, 6-5. 26 sec left. Bo in on a double and gets a TD as they go OOB iwth16 sec left, 8-5. Dean working up, then hits a roll, but Bo stays with him. End. RT @ 2:32 for Bo

Bo takes bottom. Bo up and out in 18 sec, 9-5. Dean reaches, nothing. Dean shoots, Bo counters, then Dean sprawls, and gets behind for a TD, 9-7. Bo grabs a leg, but we get a stalemate with 57 sec left. Actually, they give Bo the esc, so it's 10-7. Dean shoots, and Bo counters, and Bo gets the TD, 12-7. Bo tried to tilt him, but only got a swipe. End. With RT, it's a 13-7 decision

Dumb as it sounds, maybe there is a little bit of a flu bug going through the team. Nickal isn't the only PSU wrestler who doesn't look 100% on top of his game.
Guys relax. We can win this tonight and tomorrow night. Verily. And we can get 2 more wins yet this afternoon.
Agree with both these posts. Thought Nickal could have played catch and release instead of riding so much. Then he looked totally gassed the last minute of the match. Was in position for an easy reversal but didn't even try for it - just kept hanging on the ankle. Weird.

It looked to me like he and Dean had a pretty hard head collision at one point. Don't know if it dazed Bo but I'm sure it pissed him off.
Yes, did you notice that Dean got a little extra taste of mat at the end of the match?
