exactly, there was no pop in Lee. wonder if he moves up to 149 next year as plenty of room for Lee to put on some muscle.

Nick looked totally unable to adjust and Demas sucked the life out of him by continuously hitting the same move.

Demas downs Lee 13-10. Demas kept Lee from getting to his legs for the most part and controlled the ties enough to score on several inside trips. Lee lost the hand fighting battle and couldn't work the slide by either.

Lee will wrestle Mitch McKee for 5th Place.

That kid is known for one move and Nick played right into his hands wtf? Frustrating. He stayed after him for all 7 min but you can't do that. It was like watching VJ with double overs with Marinelli. The only way either lose is to play into someone's strength. And to think Cael talks about this all the time.

Nick is going to need to learn to vary his attacks if he wants to move from the 3-5 level at nationals to the 1-2 level. He needs to commit to riding a bit more as well as I believe he can be effective there.

Time to rebound and beat McKee ... was hoping Nick could improve on his finish from last year but back to back Top 5/6 finishes (through very different paths) is nothing to sneeze at.

Wrong Demas. This kid is a Freshman. You’re thinking of the Demas from Ohio State.

Yeah I'm not sure how he wasn't more conscious of that trip, especially after he hit it early in the match. Nick is a little inflexible in the way he wrestles. He needs to be able to adjust to what is happening in the specific match he is competing in when his game plan isn't working.
