2020 B1G Tournament

Shak is wrestling for third after the commercial break. Mat #3 and round three against Warner of Iowa

Great job trapping the arm by Hall, but it looked like Kemerer thought it took a 5 count before the TD is awarded. He said something to the official.

Lots of great matches!

Shaks match v Warner is huge for seeding. 3rd place and two wins v Warner would put him around 7-9 on first glance. Big difference than the 10-20 spot he could end up with

Do not go there, and do not tell me how to do my job. If you don't have the maturity to deal with our loses, then walk away. You are going after an admin that is not accepting excuses. You really think RBY and Nick are blaming refs for loses? Here's a thought. Get over yourself and congratulate the victors. If you can't handle that, walk away.

Understanding that NCAA seeding is a gigantic crapshoot: I'd much rather be the 10-11 seed than 8-9. Compared to Moore, any other quarters opponent is preferable.

liooked like Rasheed tweaked his knee.... didn't look good when he landed on it... went flat..
whoops... there is the call inj def

197 3rd Place: Shakur Rasheed vs. Jacob Warner (Iowa)

Per 1
Warner gets behind and gets a quick TD, 0-2, and OOB with 2:41 left. Shak up and out, 1-2. Warner with another TD, 1-4, but PSU throws a challenge brick. Call is confirmed. Shak up, but tripped back down. They go OOB with 1:29 left. Stall warning on Shak, after not much movement from him on bottom. End.

Shak being checked out by the trainer, and looks like he'll injury forfeit.

Shak injury defaults after the first period. He walked off the mat. Not sure what was wrong. But he didn't have much to offer for 3 minutes

So far Shak is getting worked in the first period; down 4-1 and a commercial break of riding time; not having fun.

Edit - Shak injury defaults after the first period. No idea what happened, but he had nothing in those 3 minutes.

All youth wrestlers should watch Marinelli and Joseph wrestle each other over and over again. Two warriors and great kids to boot. Wish Joseph was a junior so we could see these two again next year. I would throw the first Hall-Kem match in there as well....not because Kem won, just how exciting and competitive the match was. Kem seemed a bit off today, but I’m not taking away anything from Hall as he was prepared and absolutely brought it today.

Slushhead, per our little wager few months back, I’ll get the $50 donation submitted to wrestling for life.

Cheers to the PSU fans and look forward to seeing 165 and 174 battle it out again in two weeks. At least I hope that’s the case!

I’m taking Parris!! He will crush Stevenson like a little school girl.

Who has Stevenson.

I’m all happy everyone has parents but do we really have to see every one?

I don't mind them showing the parents (although they can go a little overboard). After all, those are their kids out there giving their all. My only beef is that they frequently cut away too soon after the match instead of showing the handshake. I like to see how the wrestlers react to each other. But it's a small beef!
