2020 B1G Tournament

See how many likes the comment got?
If you believe likes have anything to do with keeping this page legit, above board, or having admins respond in a timely manner, you've missed the boat. Some of you really don't get it. We are not here to kiss anyone's asses, simply keep it clean. You want HR? You want no legitimacy? Go for it. You want folks denigrating wrestlers and coaches?

A few, literally, one, gets pissed because I called bs on our losses. We lost some matches, so what? This isn't HR, never will be.

It was perhaps a little quick but Hall was moving backward and avoiding the opponent, so I was okay with it. If that same call was made consistently, college wrestling would be better for it IMO.

No calls against Pletcher and he was backing up the entire match - Lee was shooting the entire match and Pletcher literally ran away repeatedly on ankle picks and shots. The call on Hall was an absolute joke, beyond a joke, relative to how any, and all, the matches have been called all day.

I think Parris learned a lot for the next time. He almost had him with the big move but time ran out. Stevenson stalls so much. Surprised he was called finally. Should have been called again.

Yes, consistency of how stalling is called is (and always has been) the issue. My point was, if the stall warning against Hall was made consistently, if would be good for wrestling.

Omg just 5 more seconds and he would have decked him

Not really, GS clearly stopped fighting back because the period horn sounded... Parris kept wrestling thru after period end. If period wasn't ending, no way GS stops resisting.

Nice wins Hall and AB! Not our best tourney but I'm sure we will give it hell in two weeks. Injuries are part of sports but damn we've had our share this year. Heal up boys.

Sorry your late with your post after the match doesn’t count. Did you see Parris almost pin him. 5 more seconds man.

Again, not really - GS clearly stopped wrestling and resisting when period horn sounded, Parris didn't. No way Parris takes him over like that if GS doesn't stop all resistance.

Again. I just watched it again. Parris was rolling him over when it sounded. He had him. Parris takes him if they meet again. I was surprised that they were of similar size.

Close on the score board but not in reality. Gable dominated that. Should of had two more if it wasn't for scorers table lol. Just too quick. That's about the hardest I've seen Gable actually wrestle. Wish Cassar was still healthy. It'd be almost like the big three or four at 133

I've watched it too... and GS very clearly relaxes as period ends (and you can hear guy on edge of mat counting down period to Official and wrestlers - "....three, two, one..."). Steveson basically rolls into it after period ends rather than continuing to resist Parris - it's very clear, Parris doesn't even have cradle locked - he isn't rolling GS thru like that with just a hand on his neck and back of knee from a standing position without GS letting it happen.

Agree to disagree.

Cassar would smoke him and Parris learned a lot. Bet you he will watch this and Cassar matches last year. Parris has a motor.

Ridiculous that scorers table so close. In another Match same thing because Mat only went so far and the guy grabbed the edge of it and the ref called it out.

Aaron is the same size, just not injured and able to train. Thank you for your support
I hope you know I was spewing sarcasm through my pores with that post. The silly stuff about Aaron looking like a small 184 pounder cracked me up as it was being posted, and is even funnier now with its silence.

Good tournament by the kid.

Anxiously awaiting the thread about how Rasheed quit to avoid the beat down Warner was about to put on him.

In all seriousness, get healthy young man. Always a favorite of mine and hope he can go out on a high note.
Couple of trolls talking about that on the Hawk board. 90% of us want nothing but the best for him. Kid has had a tough go, it's obvious that he wasn't right.
You guys giving Desanto the same credibility? RBY did win but listening to some, RBY was going to cradle and destroy him at will.
These are all great kids on both sides and warriors, they didn't get to be starters for Penn State or Iowa without being tough, classy, sob's.
PERIOD.

Very classy interview by Spencer and Bull. Hard not to like the Iowa guys. Hat tip to the Hawkeyes.

It’s quite the opposite for me. I find myself trying to not instantly disdain them for being Hackeyes. But I wouldn’t have hated winning the Spencer Lee arms race, given his career thus far.
