2021 Recruiting Class Thread

Seems like Veilleux committing to PSU is now a matter of "when" rather than "if."

Other observations:
Drew Kendall trending Michigan on the crystal ball.
Rocco Spindler with a handful of CBs to ND over the past few days.

He recently stated that he wants to make his decision in May, so we should know soon. I also saw that in a recent video, Tengwall mentioned a possible May recruiting surge. So, that should be nice.

Spindler to ND is fine with me -- at least it's not Michigan. As long as we can pull in Rucci, I feel pretty good about our OL haul. Would have liked to add a guy like Kendall as well.

If CJF and Trautwein can get Kendall on campus before he commits, with the relationship Kendall had with Trautwein already, I'm of the belief it will be 50/50 that he ends up at PSU. Regardless of CB's to that point....

Spindler to ND (or anywhere but UM), if it happens, is a huge miss for Harbaugh.
Word around town was he was a silent commit to UM before his sophomore year

Yep, that's a fact. But if he gets to PSU on a visit, and he rekindles his relationship with Trautwein and gets to know CJF, the 50/50 will be between BC and PSU. Not between BC and "others"/UM....
He doesn’t have a single CB to BC at this point.

Ya never know.

I’d be okay with Drew Kendall going to Michigan IF our interior o-line haul is Tengwall & Nate Bruce and the Tackles being Rucci & possibly Diego Pounds

Can someone tell me why St Frances kids refuse to even entertain big 10 schools by and large? Did Joe piss them off ago? They churn out 4 and 5 stars yearly

probably primarily WR but could be a slash type of player (QB/RB/WR)...like a faster more dangerous Tommy Stevens maybe...then again he could be LB/Safety too...just seems like a guy u want on your team and will just make plays
I hope LB. Kid will grow to 230lbs so perfect spot for him. Please no slash aka Stevens. That doesn’t work. Too big for a safety and WR.

A&M is right up there with Michigan as a consistent underachiever. Can’t imagine their fans will be pleased to continue to be the 5th or 6th best team in the SEC every year, considering the pot of gold they committed to their snake oil of a salesman Coach.

Ranking the Contenders: Kelvin Gilliam

1. PENN STATE
The Nittany Lions have prioritized Gilliam and he is definitely feeling the love. He’s visited the State College campus a couple times and has built good relationships with multiple coaches. Gilliam likes how he’d be used along the Penn State defensive line and is continuing to communicate with the Penn State coaches to figure out when he’d be able to visit the campus again.

Three more CBs for Veilleux. We now have 7 out of 7.

Marcus Bradley -- top-200 DT out of Maryland -- seems to be trending to the Terps. Maryland is going to get a pretty good DL haul in this class, it seems. An unfortunate year for us to have a DL coaching change.

The best thing that could happen to UMD football is the season to be cancelled. Once they get embarrassed by anyone with a pulse again, all their high-end recruits will get flipped. The annual Maryland football story.

A lot of activity on both sites today regarding Veilleux. Wondering if he's pulling the trigger in the next few days. He must have talked to the staff about it.

Well, if indeed that's the case, I will respect his decision.

(He did say recently that he'd decide in May, so maybe he already has his destination in mind and has suggested that)

Edit: looks like his Rivals "future forecast" picks today included a pick for PSU by what appears to be a Clemson publisher. I'd say we're in good shape here.

Locks can definitely recruit. Nick Cross was the one that got away, IMO.......really wanted him in our 2019 class. And of course adding Rakim Jarrett was a big win for Maryland.

Nobody will do less with more than Mike Locksley. The guy is as bad as it gets at the P5 level.
