I sincerely doubt with the way L$U recruits they are taking a kid who runs a 4.7. Maybe it is a non-commitable offer?
Facepalm. His on record 40 is from two years ago. It’s 4.7. Some might think they have a better idea. LSU uses their RBs very differently. It’s a commitable.
Facepalm? Seems rather obvious elite recruits get faster within a two year period, presumably from their freshman to
junior year in HS.
DT not a priority this year. DE more a priority with limited ships.
If you are a wr or db with a Penn State offer the pressure is on. There are a limited number of spots left.
I'm guessing at WR, it's Prather and Thornton and that's probably it.
And at DB.......Warren and McMillon/Davis?
sounds about right...maybe add Farooq too so the first 2/3 that commit u take...Davis I think could be an OLB (and obviously Safety) and a really good one but yeah its getting really tight...that's why I kinda wished they held off on White a little while longer...seemed like PSU was kinda a dream school for him so I think they could have waited for some other guys plus u already have an ATH in this class in Clifford...in a bigger class like last year taking White at this point would have made a little more sense but I get it he's a big fast athlete
Haven't seen this name mentioned here much. Fairchild is the #2 rated OG. Penn State is the only non-SEC team in his current top 6.
Obviously the PSU staff believes White warrants a spot higher on their recruiting board than you do.
And from the comments the PSU staff has made about the limited scholarships available in this class how would there be room for Prather, Thornton and Farooq in addition to White and Clifford who both have been mentioned by the staff as likely beginning their PSU careers at WR? Probably why Prather is considering getting his spot while there is a spot to get......
well you're kinda putting words in my mouth...u make it seem I didn't like White as a prospect...if u read my post I said in a bigger class it makes a little more sense with still a lot of top prospects left to maybe wait...my goodness in the end I even say i understand why they took him (big fast athlete) i'm allowed to have a little of a difference of opinion from say the staff...on the second comment well Clifford and White could play on either side of the ball perhaps...Clifford is probably going to be a WR but White is still a ? mark for sure, at least I think...not to mention what if White is a fairly high MLB draft pick?...he could be gone just like that and u just passed on either a top 50 or top 100 overall WR talent...also i said the first 2 to commit they would take not all 3 like u replied

Yep, I understood your post that way. My comment is that the staff has said that the class will not be as large a class in comparison to last year's class. Terry Smith, defensive recruiting coordinator, said that the class would be nearly 10 players smaller than the 2020 class - hard to believe, but that is what he said. So if they are looking at White mainly as a WR, as I believe White has said, that they must believe he is as good a prospect as the other WR prospects linked to PSU at this point and I don't believe his committing has a thing to do with this class being large, as you said. At this point in the process it is likely first come first served for WR spots which makes it pretty unlikely that in addition to White, and Clifford, that this class has room for all of Prather, Thornton and Farooq. So as CJF took 5 WR's last year, it will be interesting to see if Prather commits, how many WR's will they take. As you said, it's likely that the first 2 that commit are in as they surely still want Thornton, but who really knows ....
Sure, everyone has opinions. But if you are trying to predict what this class will end up looking like and are trying to predict the numbers at each position in the class it only makes sense to try and figure out what the staff is trying to accomplish with the class and how the staff actually ranks the players they are going after. Pretty unlikely that any of us here will

If you listen to the 247 podcast, they were saying Brian Dohn is really high on White and he thinks he has the potential to be one of better receivers in the Big 10.
Seems that way. There are 11 scholarship DT's on the current roster, with Izzard (a true DT) as well as Vanover and Taylor who could end up at DT reporting this summer. A generally young group that includes a couple athletic DT's new to the game that will take some development in Darkwa and Mulbah, so maybe CJF does not even take one true DT in the 2021 class..... Especially since Terry Smith, defensive recruiting coordinator, said that they almost 10 less scholarships for the 2021 class than what they had for the 2020 class (27). Already a 6 deep at DT - probably why there are no DT's with offers according to 247 that are listed as "warm"....

He has been reported to have accepted a scholarship offer as part of the 2021 PSU recruiting class. So if he signs in December (likely) or February 2021, when he enrolls in January 2021 or in the summer of 2021 Liam Clifford (classified by 247 as an "Athlete" but reportedly recruited by PSU to begin his PSU career at WR) will be on scholarship.....
I listened to the podcast and I got the feel that they could see him ending up at OLB.

The 6-foot-6, 286-pounder is one of the fastest rising recruits in the region. Rivals.com ranks him as the No. 52 overall player in the state of North Carolina in the class of 2021.

Because we have like 15% of our current scholarships going to DTs right now, and signed a whole bunch just last cycle. They’ll probably sign one, but you’d need to renovate Lasch to build a bigger DL meeting room to hold all the bodies.
