Don't want to go back to the 2020 thread, so I'll put this here. Luke Hill was a PSU target last year.

Luke Hill, a former high school football player in the District who had committed to play this year at the University of Oregon, was arrested Tuesday and charged with attempted first-degree murder and first-degree assault.

In addition to those two felonies, Hill was charged with six misdemeanors in connection with an alleged incident Monday evening in which he is accused of shooting at another man who is dating his ex-girlfriend. A spokesman for the Prince George’s County Police Department said that “the intended target was not hurt, and this was not a random act.”

The intended target was reported by ESPN to be Ishmael Leggett, a former classmate of Hill’s at St. John’s College High who has committed to play basketball at the University of Rhode Island. When reached by phone Wednesday, Leggett told The Washington Post he could not comment.

Granted, doesn't his brother play at Wisconsin? Still......PA kid whose father played at PSU. Losing the top PA talent to Ohio State is bad enough. Losing an elite legacy kid would be a kick in the nuts.

Not even in his top 6 is extremely surprising. Tengwall recently said he believed Thornton would be at PSU.

247 has him as the #24 WR in the nation and in the 100s overall. Looks like a composite of about #200 or so.

in that vein, in March and April there were quite a few spoof accounts created of so-called #1 Position player in XYZ State that would claim an offer from PSU, or even a commitment to PSU. As a result, I got somewhat wary of tweeted claims of offers. When I saw Xavier's tweet, discovered that he was rated 3 stars by Rivals, and also looked at all the other offers he claimed, I was somewhat suspicious. I didn't check with any contacts, either on the PSU side or on Xavier's side, but after investigating it as much as I could with the resources available to me, I decided that the claim of an offer looked legit, and then posted it.
