It could be a bit of his reputation preceding him, but that take probably doesn't give him enough credit for his sixth sense about when to stave off a passivity call. And when he shoots, it's typically with full commitment. If he gets hit with passivity it's because he factored that in and is fine giving one up. That's partly due to often having more experience than everyone else at the weight combined, but it's also that he's seriously smart. He knows how to work the clock better than anyone.
