Yazdani wrestled a perfect match , seemed to be able to get to his underhooks and DT just couldn’t get to his offense .
Credit to DT for even going to Oslo. He sure didn’t have to.I'll bet DT would rather have the Olympic gold if he had a choice.
Just spitballing here but some reason if you went up to DT and said this not sure the reaction would be a high five. To be they are both the sameI'll bet DT would rather have the Olympic gold if he had a choice.
Definitely a great international rivalry. DT usually finishes those takedowns in the second and credit to Yaz on his defense.Credit to the Iranian coaches and Yazdani. Really smart match again and better executed than the Olympics. Dominated position with his underhook, but didn't force as much action as the first two matches. Accomplished two key things: avoided scrambles and kept DT off his legs. DT looked out of rhythm for most of the match and couldn't make it happen at the end this time.
It's hard to beat a fellow generational talent 4 straight times. Adjustments will be made and we'll see about next time. Maybe the greatest rivalry in recent memory?
Credit to DT for even going to
I noticed they did cheered for the Americans on the award platform. You must feel good for the Iranians. They are great wrestling fans and good sports!
Sounds like the board view Iranian fans more favorably than Hawkeye fansYou must feel good for the Iranians. They are great wrestling fans and good sports!
He doesn't seem to have that second ( or third) gear that DT, JB and Gilman have right now. Is it gone for good? Time will tell. Not optimisticCox continues to be one of the most frustrating wrestlers to root for. Insanely talented but Just does nothing, never tries to score and zero urgency when down late (or doesn't understand scoring?)
Maybe because Iran is safer than Iowa.Sounds like the board view Iranian fans more favorably than Hawkeye fans
As much grief that I've dished out to Hawk fans, I'm pretty sure Iran would be much safer for me to vist..Maybe because Iran is safer than Iowa.
HR knows where you live, Johnstown isn't that big!😉As much grief that I've dished out to Hawk fans, I'm pretty sure Iran would be much safer for me to vist..
I should get a dog then? Lol.HR knows where you live, Johnstown isn't that big!😉
Dake is going to be unstoppable in his high school state tournament in a few years!Dake gets a title at 74 KG. He is going to keep moving down in weight as he gets younger and secure titles consecutively at 70 KG and 65 KG. The reverse of what he did in his former NCAA life. Good job, Benjamin Button.
Well done! LmaoDake is going to be unstoppable in his high school state tournament in a few years!
It's safer in Tehran than cornfield USA. Per the same dude who contends the USA can not be successful in world freestyle competition while wrestling folkstyle.Sounds like the board view Iranian fans more favorably than Hawkeye fans
The clock on the screen had about a second delay to the actual mat clock, per the commentators. On review the mat clock had actually expired just prior to the step out.Final missed push out point for Cox. Watch the video and clock
His complacency bites him in the ass again.Final missed push out point for Cox. Watch the video and clock
Total mental error by the Iranian to be pushing for the point he didn't need there--but it's about time Iran lost one, sheesh....Holy cow! Snyder pulls out a miracle takedown to win right at the very end. The look on Cael’s face says it all. Wow!
And there’s never been a 1-1 folkstyle match go into ride outs where neither kid shot for 7 minutes. This why i dislike freestyle, referee can basically decide the winner. Passivity is a joke, and i do not care what the rules say. Thankfully Snyder got a bit lucky at the very end and got the win, but how boring to watch a guy just stand there for all six minutes and not try to get to one leg attack or try and score an offensive point is boring.
