Yeh as harsh as that sounds, but that could be true. He looked so flat and like others have said, it was his worst performance this year!
He really didn't step up at all this season. He seems to be clueless on his feet, can't finish a shot and doesn't offer much in the way of defense. How is that the same guy who wrestled RBY close?

So Nagao has Kade Moore from Mizzou next. If he wins then he gets the loser of Frost vs Chlebove

PSU with a .000 winning percentage and I expect it to stay there. Look forward to a free weekend fellas.

We may never know what injury Nagao had over the summer that was to threaten this whole season, but he has not looked like the guy that threatened RBY last year. Maybe it's weight cut or a lingering injury but he has not impressed much of the year. Maybe we see a different guy next year but this kind of performance was a shocker.

That or his lack of fundamentals has caught up to him and a coach who has extensively scouted him saw it.

Who was the person we just sent out there @ 133? Did Aaron not make the trip?
This is the same Nagao we've seen all year.

Quick and explosive guys are going to take him down. His neutral offense is often predicated on winning a scramble and this kid was long and tied him up in scrambles.

It usually doesn't matter because he only needs the one TD to start to work on top, but when he gave up 2TDs and then didn't choose top in the 2nd, the 3rd one sealed his fate.

He doesn't win matches in neutral, he wins them on top. He needs to stalemate the neutral action or at least not lose it badly to win matches and he couldn't do that against this kid. Just like he couldn't against Bouzakis.

I really want to see Echemendia vs Mendez. Echemendia is one of the only guys who has more horsepower than Mendez at 141. I’m picking Mendez but definitely think Echemendia can win

133 Nago: Loses 13-5 to Yarbrough from UVA.

Honestly maybe his worst match of the year. Was in on maybe 1 shot that ended up getting stalemated on the edge. Got blast doubled a couple times and his points came from 3 escapes and 1 reversal. I believe he has Moore from Missouri next. It may be in his best interest to take top when he gets choice.

Time to do some work on the backside and keep grinding.

Backside analysis for Aaron (which is irrelevant if he comes out like this)

Kade Moore
Chlebove/Frost loser
Leete/Cardinal winner or Bouzakis
Orine/Vito loser

Not bad to the blood round .... then buh bye
Pretty nice path actually and before this match I would’ve said he’s right there with Orine….after that match, not so much
