Davis hits that sit out better than anyone I’ve seen in a long time. He has gotten out against everyone including great top guys like Barnett. Super impressive for a true freshman

Nagao reminds me of Jaydin Eierman from neutral, although not as effective. Seems to be interested in getting into scrambles and relying on that ability for the takedown. But Eireman is a lot better at it. It would be nice to see him hit a double and finish it quickly.

Davis def did something to his left hand . Shaking / grabbing it and didn’t want to engage there at all near the end

125: Davis: Wins 8-1 over Lujan of MSU

Had 2 beautiful takedowns and over 2 minutes of riding time. Would have liked to see him push for the major there in the last minute or so of the third, but he was also favoring his left hand, I believe a finger at first. Then Lujan had a pretty good snap and looked like it made whatever the injury was worse. Wrestles Ungar of Cornell next.

Monthley will have it taped up and he'll be good to go. Just cost of doing business at this point unfortunately.

Bartlett vs Miller R32

Miller close to TD; Beau trying to get stalemate and it’s a stalemate. MD challenges. It was close to a TD. No TD on review. 1:32 to go. Beau I’m on a single. Can’t finish before time expires. Very close. 0-0 after one.

Beau chooses bottom. Caution on Miller. Beau to his feet and run off the mat. Beau to his feet again but can’t escape. Finally out after 43 secs. 1-0 Beau. 1-0 after two. Come on guys. Let’s start wrestling.

Miller chooses bottom. Escape after 27 secs. 1-1. Beau shoots. In deep. But Miller gets a leg and tries for stalemate. Finishes just in time. Add two back points in final seconds for a 6-1 win.

Not even close lol. Eierman had plenty of his own offense and was very fundamentally crisp in scrambles. Nagao looks like he's trying to make things up. He never got caught flatfooted like Nagao.

141: Bartlett: Wins 4-1 over Miller of Maryland

When Beau decides to attack, he is so quick to legs. Unfortunately thats just not very often. Ends up getting the winning takedown after a beautiful shot which led to a near stalemate position for almost 45 seconds. Will wrestle Moore of Rutgers next who beat Matthews of Pitt

'EDIT: I believe was also awarded 2NF.

Good lord are Nagao’s fundamentals terrible. Standing straight up. Reaching back for a leg on bottom. Not knowing how to sprawl.
Hasn't looked at all like the guy who ended last season. Was told that he didn't look great throughout last year as well, not a cause for concern. But unless he could just bully someone from on top, he has not even looked close to the same guy.

Rathjen vs Williams could be good. Jordan Williams is pretty slick. Rathjen has to be careful
