That’s the takeaway really. The emotions at the Olympics can overwhelm many first timers. Not bad for a couple of Olympic rookies.
They each lost by a whisker to the Olympic champ.

That’s some wicked draft. Mine just make me drunk. Also, with every dislocation I've had, my arms go damn near numb. You literally can't breathe due to the pain until it's back in. The only thing worse I've had is when a draft dislocated my left hip when it fell on me. I was in tears until it was put back into place.
Whereabouts. I'll have to look for it.Driving into Williamsport this morning and I saw there is a huge billboard along RT 220 with Zain on it wishing him luck. Got me fired up! It's awesome to see one of our guys on a billboard like that.
I feel a little bad about it, but find myself rooting for Michigan to go 0-5 for medals.
Going from Jersey Shore towards Williamsport on the left side. It's somewhere between the Reach Rd exit and Maynard St. I believe the wife and I are heading back to Williamsport in a bit. I'll grab a pic.Whereabouts. I'll have to look for it.
I had a sublax during the last match I wrestled at age 38. The referee said "I don't think you should continue". I told him "No worries there." There was no way I was. Very, very painful. Also, with every dislocation I've had, my arms go damn near numb. You literally can't breathe due to the pain until it's back in. Young and dumb, brother! Young and dumb. Ha ha haaaaaa! I always laugh when folks say wrestling is tough. Damn right it is. Get thrown around by a damn Percheron or a Belgium draft horse. You're like a flea to them. Meanwhile, the Budweiser Clydesdales are like manna from heaven. They never move or misbehave.I had a sublax during the last match I wrestled at age 38. On a positive note, I was glad to see both Larry and Kathy Lee had the good sense to not wear their glasses to Spenser's competitions. 🤣
Blame Myles’ dad. I doWhat? You weren't chearing for the guy from the San Marino province of Meatchicken?
That's 2000 lbs of pure hell in a Percheron. That’s some wicked draft. Mine just make me drunk.
Sounds similar to Robbie. Wonder if this was Yaz's last run?He had shoulder surgery last winter. There was some concern that the guy might not be able to make it back in time for the Olympics.
Obviously he did but looks like it might have flared up again at exactly the wrong time.
I'd go full court press on Takatani if he had any eligibility. Was hoping Yaz had College eligibility, Yaz to 97, shirt Mirasola and Barr as C Star seems perfect at 184 imo
next time don't call his mother a donkey. They have feelings you know. Man, I cannot imagine being rolled by a horse. I literally can't imagine what you went through. I broke my leg once. My mind "heard" the snap and instantly went into preservation mode. Was it the same for you? You know when to stop, although in your case you probably didn't have a choice. That's 2000 lbs of pure hell in a Percheron.
In your sleep? That would really suck to wake up in that much pain instead of rested like you should! They are no fun, I had that issue with my right shoulder back in the 80's. It use to pop out when I was sleeping. Surgery corrected it, and I had no problems since.
As painful as it is, its also equally terrifying. Shoulder separations are the absolute worst. Yazdani seemed like an absolute warrior, and a guy who handles himself with as much class as anybody in the sport. Hard to not root for Iran when not toeing opposite US.In your sleep? That would really suck to wake up in that much pain instead of rested like you should!
Not really. Never had a broken bone working with a horse. Just a sh&t ton of pain after 26 years. Wouldn't change my life for anything. I absolutely love what I do, and I'll never retire from it. That said, I work on great horses. It's a blessing, and I have a gift for it. Not many folks love what they do, and I definitely do.next time don't call his mother a donkey. 2.0 seconds! Lol All he had to do was lift a knee. UgggggOk - I’ll say what I think everyone else is thinking. AB was about 5 seconds from a gold medal. 😫
Yazdani is the complete sportsman. When DT was injured in the Beat the Streets match, Yaz was one of the first guys to post an encouraging message wishing him well.As painful as it is, its also equally terrifying. Just like the Russians. The most lovely of people, just sh&tty governments. As painful as it is, its also equally terrifying. Shoulder separations are the absolute worst. Shoulders are the absolute worst regarding sleep. The only thing worse is sciatica. In your sleep? That would really suck to wake up in that much pain instead of rested like you should!
Definitely hurts him in the legacy department. All of his contemporaries (JB, DT, Snyder) have an Olympic gold. If he would’ve won gold here his resume would’ve been complete and put him near the top of the USA goat debate (behind JB, Bruce, and Smith for me but equal to DT and Snyder). This absolutely hurts and drops him behind those guys for sure. If Snyder can win another gold here he still has a great chance to be the goat by the time he’s done especially because he talks about competing for many more yearsDake has to be among the best ever at the senior level to have not won Olympic Gold.
Hey Nerfstate. I've never posted a pic before and noticed you've done it for other folks in the past. I just emailed you the pic. Got your address from the cooking thread. Would you post it for all to see?Take a pic, if you can.
Yep it hurt but I was always able to roll it back in placeIn your sleep? That would really suck to wake up in that much pain instead of rested like you should!
Sure thing! Including a screenshot of Sarah and her Nittany Lion training partner for good measure.Hey Nerfstate. I was at a fundraiser with Luke last night. He’s PSU’s next big star. He has the “It” factor that you can’t articulate. He’s a special kid.You misspelled Lilledahl.
Completely agree. Him and Duke are going to be stars. I’m so excited to watch them in about a month at U20’sI was at a fundraiser with Luke last night. He’s PSU’s next big star. He has the “It” factor that you can’t articulate. He’s a special kid.
Here are the scheduled matches tomorrow:Hate to bother folks, but can someone post the next matches? I greatly appreciate it. Been a sh&t week, and I'm heading out to another horse. Lost one today that fractured a coffin bone. We've had way too much rain.
David Taylor disagrees.Late to the party. Grounded rule is horse shit. Seems to be the complete opposite of freestyle focus on action. Not trying to stay in, not trying to get to feet. F that.
