African-American athletes threaten to strike at Mizzou

Cool. Did they overturn the reporter's motor vehicle?

Because, you know, at all times EVERY Penn Stater has stood steadfastly with the media in recent years.
NOBODY here has EVER been critical of Collegian reporters. EVAH !!! AMIRITE?

Didn't check to see if "they overturned a reporter's vehicle". Probably didn't have to. The physical human perimeter and "muscle" around the encampment seemed to suffice in keeping the reporters out.

You're right. Sandusky had nothing to do with the incidents at the University of Missouri. Congratulations. You are quite the intellect.
It's called establishing credibility. As a zigbot, for you to call anyone a loon is preposterous. Also, for you to chastise these students at Missouri is the worst form of throwing rocks from a glass house, seeing how Psu students actually rioted over a football coach being fired.

Did you attend Ziggy's "Justice for Jerry" rally the other day??

A similar play by the players in 2012 may have been able to significantly alter the outcome of the Freeh/Sanctions issue. We all know that the BoT never actually wanted to shut down football because of the significant revenues it generates for their accounts.

I can imagine Mauti, Zordich, et al standing at that presser and saying, we have convinced most to stay, however under one condition...if we don't get the normal process the NCAA doles out we all walk out now. Not on the school, not to transfer, but simply no football activities until NCAA institutes the normal infractions process.

BoT would have demanded an investigation by NCAA in a heartbeat.

I'm sorry the idea of interracial marriage is offensive to you..

Again see the line. My wife is a minority first of all and you are the one who seems to be hung up on race with some others here. I applauded what the young man did along with the team at Mizzou. You're running your GD trap so much, you don't know who to insult next. Attacking people's families is a pu$$y move online. That has zero to do with race, but just common sense to most grown men. Then again, you seem to be that guy in every thread.

That guy has a serious fear of black people. He said he'd be afraid for his daughter because he saw an angry black man raising his voice. READ. BETWEEN. THE LINES.

You're the one who is calling it an "attack". I just say I hope that happens so it will help him remove his head from his ass and get over his irrational fear of black people.

Also, you'd think someone who had children wouldn't want someone like Sandusky out of jail, but Buffalo Lion is one of the Free Jerry crowd. Guess an angry black man is more dangerous to his children than a convicted pedophile.

I am really skeptical of this entire story at this point. Initially I was just critical of the first demand to the university president which was a racist and sexist attack on him. I didn't really know why the racial unrest occurred leading to that demand.

Now that I read accounts of events leading to this thing, I am more concerned than ever at what has transpired.

  1. So there were accusations of racial slurs initially against the black student association president and then a black student government group. At this point, there is no evidence that this was documented evidence, just an accusation against unidentified people.

  2. Then you have black protesters surrounding the university president’s car for 15 minutes in the homecoming parade which required police to disperse. This account is very well documented and was very likely perceived as a physical threat.

  3. Then you have a black journalism instructor making an accusation of racial slur at a truck driving by with a confederate flag on it. Again, there is no evidence beyond her account.

  4. Then presumably a student makes a shit swastika but apparently no one attempts to gather physical or other evidence that might identify who would commit this hate crime. Seems that Jewish students would be most concerned.

  5. Then you have a black student activist as he is described going on a hunger strike and making a list of demands, the first of which is a racist and sexist demand to the university president to resign immediately and admit his “white male privilege”.

  6. Then you have a video gone viral of a black mass media instructor inciting physical means to forcibly remove an Asian student reporter from their demonstration in direct violation of 1st amendment rights on the public grounds.

If you look at this whole situation through the lens of evidence, it is incredibly disturbing.

First of all, all evidence of racism towards blacks in this thing are undocumented firsthand accounts of the accusers who all happen to be black STUDENT GOVERNMENT LEADERS and a black JOURNALISM instructor. Did they really occur? Maybe, but the only evidence is their accusations against unidentified people. Maybe this is all manufactured? That is just as plausible from the evidence and the proximity to Ferguson.

Second, the actions of the protesters are 3 well documented verbal and physical threats to other races with a heavy dose of racism from the protesters. White male privilege? Physically surrounding a vehicle so it cannot pass? Forcibly removing a reporter of the wrong race?

Lastly, they achieved their objective. This is a proof of concept that in America today, with zero documented evidence racism could be manufactured (only a possibility here since there is no documented evidence to support or refute) and then used to proliferate racism against another race to verbally and physically threaten them and ultimately remove them.

Sorry people. Whether you believe that racism existed at that university or not, this is a horrifying precedent. Think about it. You can say that someone hurled racist remarks at you and then you can apparently use that to destroy someone and their livelihood. Is this really America?

From their own demands

Tim Wolfe must acknowledge his white male privilege

If that isn't a racist statement, I'm not sure what is. It may be true. But it's still racist.

The French Revolution did not start out violent. But it went there, eventually. That's why I said I was "uneasy".

But I see no reason to try to continue have a reasonable debate with some one who is not.

I don't think "racist" means what you think it means.

Pretty obvious you're terrified of black people. I hope your daughter marries one of them (man or woman)

As long as it's not one of those thugs in the cafeteria, I'll have no problem with it. She's a performer and has been friends with some absolutely fantastic people of all races. In fact, my guess is, based on your over the top defensive posts, she has more Black friends than you have.

I will draw the line though if she comes home with some wacko named PhillyPhan21.:)

Thugs. Dude, you gotta update your dog whistle vocabulary. People are onto that. Why didn't you refer to the Rioters in Beaver Canyon as thugs? Exactly.

You can't be racist, you're daughter has black friends! Lol! Usually racist deniers say "I can't be racist, I have black friends!" But at least you're honest that you don't so you bring up an anecdote that you'll tolerate your daughter having black friends.

I had no idea all a black guy needs to do to be considered a "thug" is to raise his voice. Good to know Buffalo "Dog Whistle" Lion

It is not a figment but we don't judge actions by assumptions. You are assuming. I am not. I am saying that documented evidence shows and undocumented accounts are. I make no assumption other than undocumented accounts can be real or they can be made up. But with a pattern of undocumented accounts all with no identified accused persons all by student government leaders or a journalism instructor, it is more suspect that they are all accurate.

However, you miss the point of the entire post. No documented evidence is required to use racism as an excuse to successfully attack someone based on their race while spewing your own brand of racism. From my first post in this thread, I have advocated that racism should not be the response to racism. If there was racism on campus, do you think the racist attacks against this white president and Asian student reporter will resolve the racism? I think now that there is almost no one on that campus that trusts others at this point. I think you will see more division by race there. Was that the real goal?

You're entire conspiracy is based on assumptions. GTFO.
The attacks against the president who was dismissive and did the whole "racism doesn't exist" routine are in themselves, racist?

Dude, us white men have it so hard these days, right?

Again, slow down and try to comprehend when you read. My post very carefully listed which evidence was documented and which was not. I made no judgment on that evidence other than to say undocumented first hand accounts against unidentified perpetrators may or may not be true.

On the other hand, you assume everything from one side of the issue to be true and the correct action without any attempt at looking at the evidence. You believe that all black people bear a heavier burden than all white people in America. Your posts wreak of confirmation bias to that assumption. Why are you afraid to revisit your initial assumption? Why are you unwilling to view the actual evidence of the events instead of jumping to your predetermined position? Your posts are the epitome of assuming.

Do you believe the term "white male privilege" is not meant in a derogatory way? Why? Is it appropriate for people that you believe are racially oppressed to be racist towards others?

Why would you want to respond to racism with more racism? It is divisive and in the end only serves to hurt. If you feel hurt, do you think that you should try to hurt others? Would that make you feel better to hurt others?

Like they just decided "hey, lets get this president fired for no apparent reason." I heard the story of the student body president being harassed about 6 months ago. That's a pretty long con for college students who want instant satisfaction and gratification. And yes, I do believe on average life is harder for minorities than it is for white men. I'm a white man and my life is freaking awesome. Sorry yours sucks so much that you gotta blame all your shortcomings on minorities.

It's not the nature of the evidence, it's the seriousness of the charge. That's all that matters to many people.

Are you seriously saying that because to you're they're claimed and "undocumented" you don't know if they ever truly happened? Seriously?

I've read through each of these pages this morning kinda leery about it because I was legitimately kinda nervous what some people would think and post and yea ... It ended up not really surprising me by the time I got to the end of it

This incident is over, except for the ongoing reframing. Apparently some feel that it needs a nice coat of white paint. Whatever.

Not sure if you're serious with this but you are aware that people do make things up for all sorts of reasons, correct? See Duke lacrosse, UVA frat rape stories for starters. I have no idea if that happened here but to dismiss out of hand even the possibility that some or all of these accounts could have been fabricated seems very naïve.

Also naive, thinking this is some sort of year long conspiracy. Also naive if you don't think there is an agenda by some on here based on their poorly disguised code words and dog whistles..

I'll ssssllllloooowwww ddddoooowwwnnnn.

I am seriously saying that the nature of undocumented accusations against unidentified assailants is that some are true and some are not. The nature of video evidence and accounts from public events witnessed by thousands with police reports are not so skewed so evenly. Those have much greater authenticity and accuracy. The very nature of even recalling an event from your perspective after the fact leads to considerable error (hello, Mike McQuery).

Why do people need to take words out of context? Or are you guys seriously that poor in reading comprehension that you think that you've read something that isn't there. There is no conspiracy. The point is simply made that none of the incidents which supposedly lead to the racist environment could be documented or authenticated by a non-interested party or the police. Does that mean that the events did not occur as the person who claims them? None of us will ever know unless some piece of evidence exists that we can consider.

OK Nostradamus, according to Deadspin as was posted in this very thread:

"What incidents, exactly?
On Sept. 12, Missouri Student Association president Payton Head wasrepeatedly called “******” as he walked through campus. On Oct. 5, the Legion of Black Collegians (the university’s black student government) were subjected to racial slurs in Traditions Plaza. On Oct. 10, seeking to draw more attention to an increasingly tense environment, the Concerned Student 1950 group stopped the car Wolfe was traveling in for the Homecoming parade and blocked the street for about 15 minutes. The protest was broken up by police. Oct. 24 brought what has widely been depicted as the breaking point: a swastika made of shit was drawn on the wall of a university dorm."

So according to you either Deadspin is dead wrong or you have exploited some worm hole in the space time continuum whereby you where hearing about an incident about 4 months before it actually occurred. Which is it?

So it seemed like 6 months ago, I was off. I can admit mistakes. However, your little conspiracy theory of black students to making up a series of events in order to raise trouble is asinine. That combined with you playing the "Woe is me, I have it so tough as a white man" card just goes to show you have some deep issues with black people. It's not long until, just like Buffalo Lion, you start calling those students thugs (while you most likely didn't use that language when the PSU students rioted over a football coach).

Come on man!!! Didn't you know that facts and timelines don't matter when there is an agenda to push? I ran into this earlier in this thread with a comment from Aoshiro. He subsequently vanished from this conversation after I pointed out his opinion of when things occurred didn't match the actual facts.

Yup. It's all a conspiracy. Just like that conspiracy that got Sandusky sent to jail, right?

Did I ever mention a conspiracy or Sandusky? Nope.

In fact, I believe you are the only one that has called this a conspiracy at all. First it was a year long conspiracy, then you moved the bar down to 6 months, and now it's only 2 months *BUT SEEMS* like 6.

This whole thread you have been moving the bar on facts, assigning racist opinions to people who never said anything of the sort, and attacking people's personal lives and their families. All the while you cover your ears to what people are saying and only hearing what you want to hear while simultaneously twisting words to fit whatever you can rationalize in your mind.

The fact you expect people to take you seriously is humorous.

I think that it is clear that the Philly guy needs to be ignored. He can't present a cogent argument, he has lied and distorted people's posts, and he has labelled a lot of people as racist if they don't accept his view which apparently is not concerned with facts or evidence in any way, shape, or form.

I feel that legitimate questions and concerns have been raised. I don't want an America divided by race. I don't want perceived or real racism to initiate more racism. I don't want an America where a person can be accused of something publically and with zero documented evidence have their lives turned upside down by a media driven call for blood. That is not America.
