Have you ever hugged someone of another race and truly loved them as a friend? I have. MANY times. I'm sure many others on here have done that as well. Have you ever tried to physically overpower or physically overmatch someone of another race on a person to person basis in a confrontational and adversarial type of way....with race NEVER being part of the equation? I have. MANY times. I'm sure many others on here have done that as well.
Sports and the Arts are the two areas of our society where Race is the most invisible. You think I cared if my teammate was White or Black as long as he helped me win? You think I cared if my opponent was White or Black when I tried to match up with him? Who do you think I'm going to defend if one of my teammates who is of a different race gets into a fight with an opponent of another team or in a bar? I could absolutely care less what color the other guy's skin was. I had my teammate's (and friend's) back every time.
When I see idiots like that multi-millionaire privileged Jonathan Butler at Missouri and his Student President troublemaker cohort Payton Head trying to use the football team as a tool to racially divide a school and a team, I get pi$$ed. Especially now that it's being brought out (as I suspected) that a lot of that racial crap was all made up.

In another one of the infamous examples of racial slurs being thrown at Mizzou, I believe the late night one against the theater group, the one guy was discovered and kicked off campus pending a further investigation.
So looking at these events, it seems to me that the proper channels and actions were being taken to combat the issue, so I ask again, what exactly was the President of the school to do?
I get the outrage and I understand people being upset, but from what I have observed, there was no rampant university-wide racism that was being ignored. A few incidents occurred, people got upset, and they were being investigated. Just how things are supposed to work.
In so many of these examples, Ferguson, Baltimore and now here at Mizzou, people hear of an incident, get upset and then immediately work themselves into a rage looking for blood. These people want immediate action and someone held responsible immediately. I understand it, but that's not the way these things work and allowing Mob Rule....yes MOB RULE...to take over and dictate things is not the direction we should be taking.

Yep. Students in The University of Missouri's ROTC Program were told not to wear their uniforms yesterday (Veteran's Day) and had to cancel their training because of threats made against them. Yet PhillyPhan21 would send his daughter into that mess (if he was physically able to reproduce) and just hope she didn't get stuck in the middle of some trumped up Race War. He needs to be in a padded cell under 24 hour watch.

And his first demand was to remove a university president for apparently being white and calling on him to admit his white male privilege? So a man who has worked for a career to get where he is has privilege because of his skin color and something hanging between his legs and the little rich boy who hasn't worked a day in his life is being held down by the man because he is black?

Unfounded allegations leading to immediate removal of multiple officials based on media support and the color of their skin? Those alleging words being used against them by unidentified assailants using racist terms (white male privilege) to verbally attack someone unconnected with the allegations and physically impeding them in public places? A university mass media instructor who has kept their job by the way directing physical removal of a student reporter of the wrong race against first amendment rights. That is not America.

LOL, people have trouble with words and meaning. That something wasn't "proven beyond a reasonable doubt" does not make it a lie. You are really reaching if you need to write a whole article that calls into question that someone below the MD line might yell a racial slur at a black man.

This isn't going to end well. I think just about everyone is for equality, but if we are so sensitive that any piece of clothing will set people off, we are going to have to dress in uniforms. The PC on college campuses is getting out of hand.
