So what you're saying is that Cael and his assistants are in the room coaching the athletes that have committed and will be taking the mat this weekend, while DT and his assistant are leaving their team in good hands while they concentrate on attracting potential commitments before they also take the mat this weekend?
Let’s also not forget cowboy DT’s last ride

Not true. TnT are still selling the opportunity for some recruit to become Iowa's FIRST 4X NCAA champion. 😈
Yes, but they have zero history indicating they have the coaching insight to help someone accomplish that feat. Now consider we aren't talking a 125 pounder and they have practically zero success figuring out how to guide someone to even one championship.

If Bo wants to prove he can win NCAA championships without any coaching help then Iowa might be the place for him. However Bo seems like a bright kid who appreciates the importance of coaching assistance.

Mike Grey has coached two 4x champs (Dake, Yianni) and is out of the running. Brands and Goodale are still in it.

So maybe Bassett's decision criteria differ from ours, even if he likely reaches the same conclusion.

They are my prediction when it comes to Bo. Jax to Penn State.
I think Bo is likely headed our way, but wanted to highlight this because those fearing OKST over NIL are looking in the wrong place. Rudis is based in the Columbus suburbs, and Tan Tom would promote the living hell out of Bassett. I wish that we had Jesse's skill. Etc.

Plus it's much closer to home, with family being a significant consideration.

Hope you're right. The Rudis connection is why I say tOSU. I think he goes no further away than that.

Bo Bassett and Dalton Perry are in the same 145 pound weight class at the Mid- Winter Mayhem going on right now. They are opposite sides of the bracket and both in the semi-finals. It should be a good match if they meet in the finals. Basset is number one seed and Perry is number two seed.

Perry not getting his shot against Bo. He actually lost in the semis to Bo's teammate.

Bassett at the anOSU-Rutgers dual at Covelli today (Jan 12). Apparently laughing it up and signing autographs behind the Brutus bench.

No reports as to whether he was bored with the Brutus wrestling (other than the Mendez bout) or thinking "damn, I could step right in at this place".

Like Tomaselli and Martin stepped right in that place?

Did you watch the match? HWT was the only match where the low score was indicative of a lack of action. There were great scrambles that didn’t lead to points in many of the matches. 133 Bouzakis-Shawver and 157 Sasso-Harer in particular were great matches, hard fought and exciting with several great scrambles. In the 197, Shumate had TDs waived off in both the first and second periods because he didn’t hold them past reaction time. He finally got it in the last minute of the third only to see Poz escape in short time and get the game winning TD as time expired. It was a really exciting match to watch.

Oh, and Bo could start anywhere except 141 for them. That’s not a surprise. He’d AA this year if he were allowed to compete.

Did he see his new coach use his challenge in the first match with an 8-1 lead, lol.
