Penn State Wrestling Fans!!!!!!!!!!!
The regular season has finished and now we are just a few days away from starting the post season run. This team was a lot of fun to watch this year, finishing as the Dual Meet Big Ten Champions beating 8 top 20 teams along the way and finishing the season unbeaten. The really fun part of the season starts in a few days but competing in big dual meets during the season is a lot of fun also. We sold out our 76th straight Rec Hall dual and held 3 matches in the Bryce Jordan Center this year to give fans another opportunity to watch a very special group of guys. Thank you for all the continued support of these guys.

The past few months have been really good for our guys in a lot of different ways but continuing to see these guys progress throughout the season is always the goal and that is what we saw. We obviously want to win every dual but like we always talk about how the guys are doing it is more important for their long-term growth than just trying to win. The Big Ten tournament is another opportunity to make progress towards how they ultimately want to compete at the Nationals and beyond.

In the next couple days we will be finishing off our training going into the Big Ten Tournament and it has been a good couple weeks. These guys have taken their Dodgeball skills to new levels also so that is good news. For most of our guys the Big Ten and Nationals are obviously goals but ultimately are just another step in their journey of becoming the best wrestler and person they can be. After these 2 events then there will be the US Open, the trials, World Championships at all different age group levels and on and on. There is always something that these guys are getting ready for so there is never really an end in their wrestling journey until they hang up their shoes for good. These upcoming tournaments are important but kept in perspective are just steps along the way.

Wrestling begins this Saturday and will conclude Sunday evening and then we will have almost 2 weeks to get ready for the NCAA tournament. We look forward to seeing a ton of fans at Northwestern this weekend and for sure in Philadelphia in a couple weeks. Thanks again for all the support and we look forward to seeing you soon.

3 matches in BJC? I remember iowa and mich. Which one did I miss?

I love how humble the PSU wrestling program is but I'd be lying if I said there wasn't a part of me that wants to see a good old-fashioned heel turn. ESPN would be all over it if the coaches started calling out other coaches and laying verbal smackdowns on the other programs.
