The only other ranked matchup next weekend that might be more appealing is Arizona State at Oregon. I think where they end up obviously is going to depend on how all four teams fare this weekend.

Given our mostly lucky weather this year (exception 1st half VS Pitt) fingers crossed for another perfect day for tailgating in Happy Valley come next weekend. Also doesn't hurt that the autumn colors are supposed to be at peak come next weekend as well.

Gotta get past Iowa & Michigan obviously has to take care of business against Illinois... but the upcoming whiteout VS Michigan if weather cooperates could be the third consecutive year that Penn State gets gameday, as well as the third consecutive year we break the Beaver Stadium attendance record.

Until then.... Iowa Iowa Iowa Iowa Iowa Iowa

If I were the betting sort, I’d go ahead and wager the mortgage.

Who cares if they show up. I wouldn't give them the time of day. Too bad people will show up for them.

Regardless of anyone's opinion of them (ESPN or the crew) we want GameDay here. It absolutely helps promote our program.

Rece Davis, Herbstreit, Pollack and Maria Taylor are all very good at what they do IMO. Lee Corso is harmless. Desmond's an idiot but it's still better than NFL Countdown.

Where was GAMEDAY at three weeks ago?
(If you know that...... examine your priorities :) )

Yeah..... it’s a HUGELY impactful event for a program

If you watch you should remember. If for no other reason than Corso's stupid headgear pick. I know they have been at Clemson, Iowa, Nebraska, Florida, Georgia and Texas this year. Couldn't tell you the order though off the top of my head.

GameDay being on your campus means your program gets 3 hours of free advertising essentially. No one is going to pass on that.

Does anyone remember anything from the media that happened three weeks ago? Hell if it wasn't for Penn State games, I couldn't even tell you what I did three weeks ago, let alone what I watched on TV.

To think that hosting college gameday doesn't have a positive impact on your program and university... or that it doesn't help promote your brand which ultimately draws attention from recruits who may or may not have Penn State on their radar ... then you've got your head buried in the sand.

Every Saturday in the fall over 1.5 million people tune into a live telecast from the heart of 1 chosen college campus. You can hate on ESPN, but you can't deny the impact hosting Gameday ultimately has on your relevance as a program.

Three hours of advertising vs how many destructive hours of garbage ESPN gave the nation about PSU. Sorry, but I'll pass.

GameDay would be huge...but even without it, we have back-to-back, ABC night games which garner the biggest audiences (not on cable, free to all). Two wins...and recruiting will be getting a huge boon.

Oh...and we're on HBO at 10pm Saturday night too. Talk about 8 days of amazing exposure...all we gotta do is ball out!

While we’re figuring out how to most effectively shoot ourselves in the foot, we should lock them out of the stadium Saturday night and self-impose a TV ban.

I think we are HBO tomorrow night for the initial viewing of that program
The only thing I like about ESPN is Maria Taylor. For her alone gameday should come. Otherwise they can fvck off.

HBO special airs this Wednesday at 10:00 PM. Bet they're kicking themselves for missing the Dave Petersen drama by a single week.

No flag. No pic needed. We all know what she looks like.
I'm gonna have to throw the challenge flag and call for a booth review !

If they come Gameday will be set up in a different location because of old main renovations. BJC Gate A is in consideration.

What about on top of Mt. Nittany? Or the 18th hole at the Blue Course? Or the Harrisburg Airport? Or anywhere not near our stadium?

How about in the middle of lot 12 just because it would piss some people off.
