Per Flo...

Oklahoma State, North Carolina, Penn State, Ohio State and Nebraska.

you guys a little late to the party. I had linked the Flo story, and the lists of finalists, earlier today in the Kaden Gfeller commits to Oklahoma State thread. Just sayin. ;)

Based on the 5 mentioned, I would expect Cowboys. He has North Carolina included, and I would guess that would be a Coleman Scott influence. So, you would have to believe he is a Cowboy fan, and they would be the favorite.

I have been saying for a long time...CAEL MUST KEEP A FULL COURT PRESS ON FIX...HE IS A MUST GET....IMO....BEEN SAING MY PRAYERS HE COMES TO PSU...HE WOULD HAVE NO REGRETS AND BE ABLE TO REACH ALL HIS GOALS PLUS BECOME A GREAT YOUNG MAN OFF THE MAT AS WELL !!!!

If he's a must-get, then what happens if we don't get hm? Fire? Floods? Plague? Viking invasion? Attack of feather-tickling vixens?

I noticed UNC showing up in the final 5 schools for Fix, Singletary, and Chase Shiltz (IA, 170lb) (#37 ranked senior by Intermat). As an earlier poster stated, with Scott and Ramos, UNC certainly has some appeal for a lower weight. Just thought it was interesting and wonder if UNC is becoming a bigger player in recruiting/wrestling.

Great point, also in related news, can't wait to read Saylor's recruiting piece on July 1st breaking down recruits and schools on Flo

Yes.

Though Fix by himself isn't necessarily evidence of this -- that's a personal relationship from when Scott was in Stilly. Still counts if they somehow land him.

They've cast some bait in these waters before. The proof will be when they land some bigger fish.

please don't call jammenz a husker fan.
I don't know if he is a husker fan or not, but there is a rumor going around that he (jammi) is a huge Red Rover fan and even has plans for some t-shirts with this image on them.

Spyker gives 21 guns capitalization, spelling, and grammar lessons?

Fix is already a great young man off the mat. I really don't think he could go wrong with either of the 5 choices, although he would be much, much better off in Stillwater :)

Well, years ago Spyker also stated (in all caps, of course) that Marshall Peppelman was a must-get for PSU. Somehow the program managed to get by without him.

Praying to who the wrestling gods? PSU gods? I'm sure that one true almighty God is on the edge of His seat waiting for your wrestling recruits prayers so we can have our world domination!

So no other school in the country would help him become a great man on and off the mat? Or help him reach his goals? Or have no regrets? I didn't realize that we had the copyrights or had that much influence!! I learn something new everydayo_O!!

If you mean that OSU fans would be in shock that Fix would dare to go to an out of state powerhouse when many thought he was a lock for the home school ... then YES, it would be comparable to Lee choosing Iowa.

As hard as it is to lock in championship caliber 125/HWT kids, the Lee loss is a big deal. I don't know that Fix is a career 125. I don't know that Suriano isn't either. Lee just fit the puzzle ideally. Lee and Suriano would have been hard to beat out of the gate as a 1-2 punch. But we are moving on.

Maybe I should have explained more.

1. Not getting Lee is not the huge loss people think, imo. Suriano is just fine at 125 and he could be there for 4 years. We'll see - both if he stays at 125 and how he does there.

2. Fix is not going to be a 125 if he comes to PSU in all likelihood. I would see him redshirting and then coming in at 133. I think he will be a four-year title contender, just as Lee will be.

3. Yes, for PSU to get a recruiting foothold in Oklahoma would be a bigger deal than Iowa getting Lee, because Iowa had already been tapping into the PA talent base before he committed.

4. Suriano/Fix out of the gate is pretty equivalent to Lee/Suriano, imo. Or it is at least potentially equivalent.

Good to see Iowa not on the list. I think that could be a common thing for lightweights over the next few years. Just too crowded down low on that roster.

I don't think Fix is a four year title contender unless college went to freestyle. Lee would beat him in folk.

I think 4-5 yrs is unrealistic for Suriano to hold 125. He wrestled 126 this past year and is very low body fat, even for an athlete. Doubt he can be in a college strength program for that long without gaining any weight at all.

Stranger things have happened, but I wouldn't count on this.

The one thing you can count on is that no one knows. Did anyone think Nico would be a career 125? Or Gilman?

I thought Nico would be, or would move up only if needed to get Conaway in the lineup. Same with Lee. No opinion on Gilman, don't recall seeing him in HS.

Yes, I was convinced Nico would be a career 125 pounder early on. The basis was genetics, and many observations throughout his career. Can't speak about Gilman.

I remember Nico's first match against Gilman at Carver Hawkeye and I gotta say, I thought he would end up at 133 or 141 eventually. Hard to tell.

Per twitter post (or is it tweet?), the other JB (Jason Bryant) is pretty confident Daton will be a Cowboy.
