Daton Fix Final 5

Well, years ago Spyker also stated (in all caps, of course) that Marshall Peppelman was a must-get for PSU. Somehow the program managed to get by without him.
No not hardly...Marshall who i know well is not in Fix's league at his age....Plus Fix will probably be a 125 guy 3 or 4 years....WE NEED HIM AND HE NEEDS US.....HE WILL ACCOMPLISH A LOT MORE AS AN INDIVIDUAL AND TEAM WITH PSU AND THERE IS NO ARGUMENT ABOUT THAT !!!!

just because y'all have been good the last 5-6 years doesn't mean every good kid would be better suited for psu. Some kids mold better with a different coaching staff. Y'all are very good and well respected but I think he would accomplish just as good or better at NC or OSU

Cael can't coach, so if he does what he has been doing by just staying out of the way Fix will be really good. To be great, OSU is the only choice.

Fix is better than that. He can be great at multiple schools.

This philosophy explains the lack of OSU team titles in the Cael Sanderson Era. If you have a bunch of guys who can't be great elsewhere, only for you, statistically most of them won't be great for you either.

Have you seen Fix next to Suriano? Fix is huge compared to Nick. If Fix is a 125 for 3 or 4 years, Suriano is a career 125 no sweat.

It could be a selling point for PSU. I'm sure Smith will try to keep Fix at 125. At Penn State, Fix could be a force at 133/141 and not have to be miserable sucking vast amounts of weight during his college career.

The kids dad went to school smith. He will look around as its part of the experience and a reward for his hard work. In my opinion our chances are slim to none and slim left town 17 years ago.

What is even more important is they know Mike Tognetti, the door is slam shut and dead bolted. OSU locked, but Cael keep that full ride on the table for Mr Fix until November. The longer the better, oops there goes another recruit you we're thinking about.

Fix will announce for PSU and immediately afterward, everyone will be talking about how he projects to start at 157 for his freshman year.

You can do better than that paisan.

OK, how about World Championships Las Vegas, me, Cael, John, Tom and Terry hitting the strip joints for seniors citizens in Vegas baby, but Cael forgot his wallet so he did a pole dance on stage and paid for our drinks all night long! Does that sound better? Cael can real cut a rug on the dance floor, you have to watch all of it because when he gets on one knee, I will just say he has a career after coaching or Tom doing his legendary move

Just wondering. If Fix decides to stay home and compete for a championship as an Okie State Cowboy will he wrestle at his optimal Cowboy weight, 118#?

No, you have it wrong. If Fix commits to Ok st, he will be projected as a life long, career long 125 pounder. If Fix commits to PSU, he is immediately projected to start at 149 or 157, so as to keep PSU from claiming any sort of ability to develop or recruit the best light weights.

And that whole Nico Megaludis "National championship" thing...disregard that...nothing to see here, move on.

Man, pity the person who has a room next to those two's headboard!

Decision time getting close. What % chance do we have to nab Mr. Fix? 10%? 25%? 40%?

Those in the know...what say you?

Small world department. While waiting to get a table at the Star Tavern in Orange, NJ, last night, the young man next to us wearing a Super 32 sweatshirt was a PSU sophomore who is good friends with Cenzo. Fix was bunking with Mark Hall during his visit to Happy Valley, as I understood our conversation. I have a lot of confidence in Mark's power of persuasion. :)

Has anybody heard what the new dates of the announcements will be (Berge and Fix)?

No, but my thought is they'll now wait until at least Nov.9, first day of the early signing period, even though the recruiting show was cancelled. Not sure where Berge has been, Fix just left Ohio State.

I think Willie said they're still trying to do an announcement show of some sort on signing day -- just can't fly them to Austin.

Berge has been to PSU, Iowa, Minny, and I think Okie State.
