Dismissed PSU DT Cam Carter is transferring to Pitt

Yes, I remember checking this board out last year at this time when both Pitt and PSU got new OCs. You loved your guy but laughed at Pitt and said they had to settle for a guy who'd just gotten fired at NC State...now, the story is re-written, and Canada is a fantastic coach, and the sole reason that Pitt beat you guys this year.

BTW, its bad form to brag about the huge win you hope you will have, but hasn't happened yet, in the same year that you just lost to that opponent. Its weak. If you really think you are the big brother, you wouldn't be doing that.

I remember when Pitt fans were laughing at how bad the B1G was then lost to Northwestern. Don't worry Penn State will destroy Pitt this year. Hope you enjoyed the biggest win in your lifetime

Remember when Duzzi was considered a good defensive coach?? That sure seems like a long time ago.

I'm not inclined to root against a kid looking to overcome a mistake. I hope Carter has learned his lesson and does well the next three years, except in the Pitt-PSU games.
This board consistently expressed well wishes and prayers for James Conner. There have also been several threads praising his recovery and the example he has become to others facing the challenge of cancer.
I hope we can all sort out what is important and what is a relative few (Pantherlair) cretins and a lawyer who practices in Johnstown.
PSU finished in the top ten, won the Big Ten and lost on the last play in the Rose Bowl. Let's be magnanimous, we can afford to be. Class never goes out of style.

We don't think we are big brother, dude, we know it. And by the way you sPitters act, you know it, too.

It's why you're here, isn't it? You still seek out Big Brother's approval. And you always will. That's why you Pitt guys are always here.

This is one of my favorite Pitt arguments. Pitt is 8-23-1 vs Penn State in past 32 tries yet these morons act like they've won 17 straight.

Which is fair but is it any different that we're using games from 25-40 years ago. That's also irrelevant to the present day. Pitt beat us in 2016. It sucks and it cost us a spot in the playoff. That's reality. Hopefully we get payback next year but 8-23-1 also doesn't mean much today. Nice record but what meaning does it really have?

Strange talk coming from a team that brags about 9 National Championships but I agree. I'll expect you back on this board lauding Penn State's superiority when they beat Pitt.

In 2016, PSU won the Big Ten and finished ranked #7. Pitt finished 4th in the ACC Coastal and unranked.

It comes down to this:

Ask pitt athletic supporters what their "signature win" was for 2016. Eventual national champion clemson in death valley or Penn State at home?

We all know the answer to that question. Hint: The one on a T-shirt given free to subscribers.

Good. Hope the kid finds his future. As many have pointed out people are deserving of second chances.

Yeah, his defenses were awful at Michigan State. Let's pretend he's brought in his guys and this is the final product instead of acknowledging he's beating teams with more talent. Including Clemson & Pitt. Let's act like a toddler and call him Nardoozie. The reason why it's tough being a Penn State fan at times is because of posts like this that support the nonsense that there's a cult. If you can't give other programs credit when deserved then you have no credibility. I'm a troll because I'm more intelligent and more open-minded than you. Yep, great argument Bobby
Yes, like Pitt fans give PSU so much credit. Penn State had a far better year but all Pitt fans post is Ped State crap and 42-39. So we should give them credit or we're a cult but they can all spew the same nonsense like...well, a cult and that's okay. Thanks for stopping by LionRevival.

Same meaning as nine national championships, or x number of HOF's, or any other meaningless number used in an argument about college football. The only numbers that matter for this year are #7 and unranked. Also, 1 conference championship vs. 0.

I hope this kid gets his act together and has a successful career. I'll never root for a kid to fail regardless of where he attends.

I think we lost this year because it was the first road game with the second youngest team in the country versus the eighth most experienced team at home. I don't think anyone feels PSU was even a decent team in September, but by December there was no comparison in these two squads. Chryst's last year Pitt had the youngest team in college football, leaving a very experienced team the last two seasons. Let's see if Narduzzi could improve on very average 8-5 records. I don't think he's great and I don't think he's terrible but the results on the recruiting front(70, 31, and probably end around 40 this year) and on the field have been very Pitt like.

You lost to your "leftovers" - remember?

Stop living in the past, its 2017, who cares that PSU handed you the 2016 game? PSU won more games in a tougher conference and finished ranked much higher.

When's the last time you beat us?

When was the last time Pitt ended the season in the top ten? When was the last time Pitt won 10 games in the regular season? If Pitt didn't end the series, PSU would have added many more victories recently. Since you guys love living the past... PSU won 7 of the last 9 meetings, and finished the year in top ten (should have been #3), and will be top 5 next season. No sane person would swap that for a lucky win early in the season. You realize that... don't you?

The b1g is tougher than the acc? Look at the bowl records for the two conferences. Oh, wait. ;)

Pitt fans should be ecstatic. This season was as good as it gets at Pitt in modern day football and they got to witness it

And look at the effect it has had on their attendance (when they aren't playing Penn State).

Please. You guys were so overrated. Your conference was garbage and you played a weak schedule.
Outside of Ohio state what big win did you have? Don't even say Wisconsin. They played no one, and They almost beat you with a back up.
You guys think you are a lot better than you are.

Please google final NCAA football rankings and look at number next to Penn State and then number next to Pitt. Oh wait, never mind.

Now go get me my fries.

Overrated....at least we are rated. It must suck to be Pitt and never be rated in any way whether it's over or underrated.

Okay, you don’t know much about Northwestern if you think simply saying they were 6-6 is stating that’s a bad team. They lost 2 games they shouldn’t have early in the season. Thorson improved significantly as the year went on. Justin Jackson and Anthony Walker Jr are two of the best players at their respective positions. Austin Carr always finds a way to get open. Northwestern played very well against Nebraska, Ohio State & Wisconsin. The Minnesota loss was bad though. Losing a meaningless bowl game to another well-coached team is hardly a negative.

Giving up 61 to Syracuse is unacceptable and Pitt is still a work in process. We all know that. Being unable to give Narduzzi credit though is just kind of pathetic. They beat 2 teams that finished in the top 5 including the fact they were the only team to knock of Clemson. They should have beat UNC this year. People should allow coaches time to develop and build their teams. Just like people trying to force out Franklin after the Michigan game were being irrational. Not comprehending that Narduzzi has Pitt on a good path is just ignorant. He probably won’t be at Pitt all that long but he’s doing a good job. Just because we don’t like Pitt doesn’t mean you can’t accurately evaluate them.

Troll.

You'd trade places with us in a minute. You know it, we know it, the world knows it. Narduzzi definitely knows it.

Pitt gave up like 80 points in a football game. To Syracuse. Then lost to Northwestern (one of the worst teams in the "worst conference") in their annual bowl game loss. Nobody takes pitt seriously. Nobody west of Ohio knows they even have a football team.
