I have no issue if they "play to the level of the competition". It makes for some interesting football. 😉

I get it. A bad snap with a slick ball and it is a free 2 or even 7. It's in the "Shit Happens" part of the playbook.
Saunders scares me.
They started teeing off on McNamara. But I have to admit they scare me when they attack the LOS and leave the middle of the field open so often.
Iowa got 24 yds on first drive and 30 yds on second drive until they fumbled. After that they went nowhere.
It seems like the offense tonight is basically 3 plays. Hand off up the middle for no/ little gain, center screen, or a 2 yard dump off pass to the sideline.
I get wanting to be slightly cautious with a new QB and the bad weather but the play calling has helped the Iowa D IMO. They’re crowding the line and pressing the sideline receivers expecting the short passes.
PSU has had a couple of pass completions but still lost 4 or 5 yards. You don’t see that too often.

That’s the same genius who said Allar should take a knee when we had the ball on the one yard line. That’s called a safety.
Great pass blocker. Run blocking is not great, play designs do him no favors. IE the run where he crashed down and we ran a read where Allar obviously wasn't keeping it and the Iowa DE just eats up the back.
I was initially wrong in thinking it was a no-call on McNamara. Hand actually pulled down on the part of the face mask that is above the eyes. Should have been called, but there were probably a lot of other missed calls.
This has been a sloppy game. Not impressed with the execution. Disappointed in some of the play-calling too. We handcuff our running game and are throwing wide way too much. Do that if Iowa is giving space, but they are not.
The announcers are baaaad. End of 1st qtr, one of them was like "Penn State needs to go 90 yards to keep their streak alive" of scoring quarters--even though we had already scored. Yeah.
The complaints about the announcers is just comical. I swear most people here should listen to Penn State radio because they only want to here Penn State biased being praised.
Nessler is usually pretty good. Maybe he hit the bourbon a shot extra to start the game?
I'm not complaining about them homering for IA and actually agreed with some of what they said. But they were saying a lot of stupid and wrong things.
They've yet to do that against anyone this year but I sure hope you're right. Singleton in particular looks subpar.
If they're going after McNamara they better get pressure. Middle of the D was already suspect. So far nice job of shutting down the TEs and run game. Aside from the one QB scramble Iowa has nothing.
That wasn't directed at you. Others are being ridiculous. You don't have to like everything they say and all announcers make mistakes. It's inevitable live.
No. Psu is a top 10 team at home in signature white out with 5 star qb who was best in his class. Why has the story lone been gushing over a ****ing horrible Iowa offense and a team barely ranked?
Ohio State with a long TD but Harrison hurt. Not good for them. Hopefully he's okay...maybe misses 3 weeks so we don't have to play him.

Did PSU "get the call" when the officials missed the face-masking of Allen on our first possession, which took place directly on the tackle and shouldn't have been missed as it assisted the tackle??? That missed call cost us at least 40 yards in field position as it would have given PSU a 1st-&-10 from near the 20 instead of punting from our own endzone endline??? A huge non-call that absolutely cost PSU hugely - a 1st Down near the 20 yard line and shitloads of field position at the very least. Danielson's comment? - "he only barely grabbed it with a couple fingers.". As if that makes a penalty that is beyond clearly a penalty, not a penalty. LMAO that PSU got all the calls.
