Hearing Nick S. is making good Progress. That is a great sign for him and PSU. Others better look

I hope this isn't looked at as making light of an injury.. more just trying to make everyone smile...

Cael is bringing in the secret weapon from what I have been told...

Its lighthearted and not mean spirited, I think its being overly sensitive to act like its making fun of Suriano and his situation. It's making fun of everyone on here trying to find out inside information about his status.(me included) Mike deserves a lot of anger sometimes, in my opinion..not for that particular post.

Nolf shaved his leg and painted his toe nails to make him feel pretty! I hear it's working, full recovery by Nationals.
You just stick to that lame thing they call a Big 12 tournament what a joke.

It's lame, and you're lame if you are defending it.

I guess I am lame, because I think it was making fun of us, not Nick

No you don't. Anyone with a brain who is being honest knows damn well that was a lame post, by a lame human being, who needs banned for it. The more you type, the more you expose yourself. Stop defending it.

I respect you 21, I don't want to get into an argument. If that was the intent of the Message then I agree 100 percent with you. I just did not read it that way, that's all. I Like Humor, and when HockeyGod has to Preface his clever and funny Karate Kid reference with "I hope this isn't looked at as making light of an injury.. more just trying to make everyone smile..." I think we are scaring people into not being genuine, I am not a fan of "Knowing" someones motives when it is not clear. I'm done with this, and just hoping all the wrestlers (From all teams) have an awesome and Injury Free Big 10's...GO PSU!!

Better be careful, or you will be considered a "hater" next. Like you, I saw it as Tog's sarcastic poke at the fans. Just like CaveLions. The world is better with a sense of humor...

Holy crap. Loosen your bone, Wilma. The only thing offensive about Tog's "humorous" post was that it wasn't very humorous.

The world is better with a good sense of humor. Tognetti's is usually lost on me and especially this particular case.

Well said amigo. We can disagree on the intent, but now I see where you are coming from.

He doesn't even post on the Iowa board anymore cause they ignore him.
Here, crybabies come screaming out of the woodwork.
He must be getting a huge chuckle.

Maybe I'm of a different mindset, I thought the photo was making fun of spyker's updates, not Suriano's injury itself.

Having met Mike T and understanding his sense of humor a little, I think this is the intent. If not...then it is totally inappropriate.

Mike nice pic. Where is mine? See you in St Louis.

And although no one did make any comments on the Karate Kid.. if it did offend anyone I am sorry as it was meant to be totally light hearted..

My post seems to have created some of this discussion, with many points of view...which is good, right? Here's mine...if it could be found offensive to a wrestler or his family...to me, it's over the line. I get the "toughen up, cupcake", and "grow some" responses that some say (not in this thread, yet...but have read it in others), but to me they just don't get it. Maybe if folks knew these wrestlers and/or the parents, they wouldn't objectify stuff as much...for gosh sakes, we're talking about 18-23, or so, young men. We're the adults here, and could learn something from our wrestlers.

Oh, and the light-hearted posts...not the one(s) I'm referring to.

Flo doesn't know anything. That interview is a negative slant. Positive slants also don't know, but Flo coming with negative "intel" isn't any more accurate than anyone else.

Cael just said he will be good to go....Just don't know how long they will let him....

I agree with Cowbell. Nick will go out, shake hands, let the clock run off a couple seconds, and default out. It does NOT mean he isn't close to 100 percent. It means the staff and Nick are taking NO chances on a setback, this close to Nationals. It means nearly another two weeks of healing, and a very good shot at being at least 90 percent heading into St Louis, with less chance for reinjury. Does it mean a drop in seed? Probably, but I can't imagine anything more than a seed or two at most. The committee is going to bump Lambert ahead of Nick? No, head to head it was Nick.
Play it safe, head into St Louis with the 3 seed, and get after it.

Yes he should still get the 2 or 3 seed....

I think your going to see something like we saw last Sunday. He will go out and try to wrestle but at slightest sign of issue, the coaches will default. If he makes it through the match they see if it swells. If it swells he MFF out the rest of the way. Then he awaits his WC and ultimate seeding.

I'm trying to recall, but the kid that Jimmy beat in the first round last year, was the five seed. Did he default out of the Big 12, I think it was mizzou, if so he didn't really drop any seed did he?

That would also give the staff a plan to lessen the swelling at Nationals, if that continues to be the case, from round to round. Looking WAY ahead, I know.

Manley did not participate at B12s last year. Neither did Cox or anybody else from Missouri.

Manley did reach the MAC finals, and MFF the conference title to Mecate.
