I have watched the after catch run of Allen on the screen pass a dozen times....

He was really focused and determined when he got the chance last night. He had several outstanding plays on that 95 yard drive.

His run a few plays prior (for the first down) was equally impressive.....the play was bunched up but he was extremely patient as the blocks played out then burst through a very small opening.

I did not like his show boating after the score.

Oh Darn! After all the shit this team has taken from the Rutgers fans..... I think he should be banned from all sports for the rest of his life. Why not wear some safe shoes climb down from your Ivory Tower of Perfection and give these kids an F'ing break for playing balls out and showing a little excess enthusiasm from time to time.

Enthusiasm is fine, but the kid still represents the program and it does leave a little bit of a bad taste when he's getting an unsportsman-like penalty for a TD in garbage time.

I still like the kid, but it does make me appreciate Barkley's brand of enthusiasm (acting like he's been in an end zone before) which he has displayed from the very beginning.

Did it look like Franklin was disappointed at the very end that we didn't have time to run another play, possibly for a TD?

Yea, so what - does this have some sort of relevance other than you wishing to tell us what you do and do not like? Personally, I couldn't give a flying phuck what "you" do and do not like especially given some of your other posts where you attempt to denigrate this programs on-field accomplishments and claim that they should not be recognized for, and rewarded in, the exact same manner as other B1G East Division teams for these accomplishments.

How many has this kid gotten? 1? I doubt he does it again. My point was that the Ivory tower overreaction crap represents PSU negatively. The kid was penalized..... he got chewed out by his coaches. Don't think it merits anymore than that.

Complete bull$hit - Allen did not take his helmet off until he was on the PSU sideline and he took it off and was slapping five with PSU fans that had gathered behind the PSU bench (he was not taunting or messing with Rutgers fans whatsoever you freaking jabroni! There weren't even any Rutgers fans left in the stadium at the time of Allen's score as even the BTN acknowledged by saying that PSU fans had taken over the stadium and the only ones left.....and moved down in front behind the PSU bench and were making "quite a bit of noise"). Ridiculous that you criticize Allen for celebrating with the contingent of PSU fans who had weathered the extremely inclement conditions and gathered behind the PSU bench. Just ridiculous that you would criticize this kid for this - laughably ridiculous imho.

Dude.... the rules say you can't take your helmet until you get to the team area, he took it off just as he left the endzone well before getting to the team area. Nothing the argue about, it was the right call. All that other nonsense about the crowd/fans is irrelevant.

It was so over the top I was wondering if maybe the RU fans were saying shit? I've heard from some other people that some of the things being yelled at our bench were pretty bad.

I thought the same thing because he seemed to be focused more on jawing at the crowd. It was not a normal TD celebration he seemed amped up more than normal as someone would be after a normal TD.

Side note, I have to say right before he crossed the goal line I thought he was going to get stripped from behind.

Looks to me like a LOT of people didn't like it. I didn't and I'll get over it.
As for you, it's unbelievable what an asshole you really are. You haveto learn when you should just STFU

I didn't assess a 15-yard personal foul penalty on #8 homey, the referees did. Direct your opinion as to how 'ridiculous' it is to the NCAA rules committee.

One thing worth mentioning -- there was a TON of good downfield blocking to make possible that play. Allen was able to cut and weave the way he did because people like Juwan Johnson were smothering Rutgers defenders downfield.

I heard they were tossing urine filled balloons and they threw an entire bag of baseballs.

he's a freshman, he probably was a bit too excited to think it through

I'd be willing to bet that he heard about it from the coaches and won't do that again

Roster says he's a Junior. Implies he redshirted his freshman year and then sat behind Saquon last year.

Juwan Johnson is a big, strong WR and likes to block. That's good.

I'm pretty sure that it was #11 (Irwin Charles) that was smothering the blockers downfield on the Allen TD run.

Edit:
I take that back, BOTH were there, Irwin was the first level, and Juwan was the beast that cleared the road for the cut back into the end zone.

It certainly wasn't "garbage time" for that kid. That was a great run regardless of the situation and he went beast-mode. My son and I both jumped off the couch and were almost as excited for him as he was. It was a rare opportunity for him to show what he could do and I think he might of surprised himself, hence the "awesome" celebration. Thank you Mark Allen....I personally loved the emotion.

They both like to block and are going to be impressive bookends out there some day.
