Every time Roar comes in to rightfully put us in our place....I always think of this scene...
Yeah, I mean, obviously DeSanto never reached his wrestling goals, but on a personal level, he is probably the Brands' greatest triumph, and possibly the reason they think they can deal with this shitshow. He should be their conditioning coach..
I won't crank on him much..
He did grow up quite a bit at Iowa and the dudes did take him under their wings to try and help...
Nobody knows until his court case is heard or pled out.I have a question, if someone knows the answer that'd be great. Will Albert James even be allowed within a 1000ft of a school?
Please don't take my previous post wrong. Free world, so beat this to death. It's just not on MY radar.
OK Mary Kay.Last time I played into a joke, I became the White Claw guy. But I draw the line at becoming the Avon guy too.
I'm not so sure of that. This happened at the 2021 championships, as a 23 year old.He should be their conditioning coach..

If that was his worst transgression at Iowa, it's a drop in the bucket (and TnT did address it).I'm not so sure of that. This happened at the 2021 championships, as a 23 year old.
“Austin DeSanto will not participate in the NCAA Parade of All-Americans or medal stand ceremony Saturday night. DeSanto behaved inappropriately toward NCAA media officials while exiting the mat this afternoon and after consulting with the NCAA Wrestling Committee and our administration, we have made an institutional decision to withhold him from tonight’s activities.”

I would love for Roar to be interviewed by Ali G.Every time Roar comes in to rightfully put us in our place....I always think of this scene...
He can teach how to fake the knee injury anytime ones cradledJust what they need. Another coach that makes no adjustments in wrestling matches.
Am I taking crazy pills? Did Desanto really change? He threatened to kill a girl at NCAAs and then tried to fight Schriever’s parents for supporting their son…Yeah, I mean, obviously DeSanto never reached his wrestling goals, but on a personal level, he is probably the Brands' greatest triumph, and possibly the reason they think they can deal with this shitshow.
You can't say that's not improvement.Am I taking crazy pills? Did Desanto really change? He threatened to kill a girl at NCAAs and then tried to fight Schriever’s parents for supporting their son…
I mean, at Drexel, he actually tried to kill Micic, so there's that.Am I taking crazy pills? Did Desanto really change? He threatened to kill a girl at NCAAs and then tried to fight Schriever’s parents for supporting their son…
Not really, he attempted to badly hurt Micic. So he moved from attempting to hurt a wrestler to threatening to kill a female reporter and fight an opposing wrestlers family, and this is the stuff that is widely known in addition to numerous temper tantrums throughout his years. So, yea I guess you can say he improved. 🤣I mean, at Drexel, he actually tried to kill Micic, so there's that.
Honest question.I'm sure they will all be on as short of a leash as there is. They themselves have to know no missteps at all will be tolerated, but the question is whether they have the impulse control to follow through.
You posted that like you believe you have a say in how this board screws with you.Last time I played into a joke, I became the White Claw guy. But I draw the line at becoming the Avon guy too.
The two in one wasn't intended, but I figure the heck with.Honest question.
How many are there that need to be on a short leash, are cognitively aware they need to stay on that leash to succeed and manage to not stray away from that leash?

The obvious example in pro sports is Michael Vick.Honest question.

In all fairness I think it is abundantly clear that AD suffers from a medical/psychological issue. I think TnT deserve kudos for simply having the patience to try to help him as well as helping the team. Anyone with a condition like that deserves the best chance (and sometimes multiple chances) to succeed in life.Am I taking crazy pills? Did Desanto really change? He threatened to kill a girl at NCAAs and then tried to fight Schriever’s parents for supporting their son…
And none of this just take a little off the top. Happy to supply a machete and a blindfold. Rapists of any kind don't only not deserve a second chance, society needs to be protected from them. Parole/castration combo would work for me. I'd even volunteer to be the mohel.
I have some rusty shears that should do the trick. And none of this just take a little off the top. Happy to supply a machete and a blindfold. Your choice who wears it.
How do they work on glasses?I have some rusty shears that should do the trick.
He also yelled multiple times in Kyven Gadson's face when he was announcing on Live TV.Am I taking crazy pills? Did Desanto really change? He threatened to kill a girl at NCAAs and then tried to fight Schriever’s parents for supporting their son…
Wait!! What? You giving McPat a hard time about soft hands, and then you post a picture of your hands? Nice nail polish by the way.I have some rusty shears that should do the trick.
What do your crazy pills have to do with DeSanto?Am I taking crazy pills? Did Desanto really change? He threatened to kill a girl at NCAAs and then tried to fight Schriever’s parents for supporting their son…
I'm @mcpat's client.Wait!! What? You giving McPat a hard time about soft hands, and then you post a picture of your hands? Nice nail polish by the way.

Gadson handled it really well by talking to him like a 5 year old "You want the Mic buddy?"
Now Now. Bowden was a very funny guy. He made one of my all-time favorite quotes. They were playing the heavily favored Oklahoma Sooners in a Bowl Game.....I think for the National Championship. A reporter asked if his players were afraid of Oklahoma. Bowden said: "My players don't know the meaning of the word fear. Of course, I've seen their grades.....There are a lot of words they don't know the meaning of" I laughed....hardSteve Superior, loved the guy. He respected the hell out of Joe, and did so consistently unlike that fraud Bowden.
Will never forget that the guy infamous for running up scores and bragging about it, refused to show up Joe in the bowl game after we lost Enis and Jurevicius.
And this is a juvenile board. This is a youth club.
Another Bowdenism was when he was describing an issue he had with one of his players. Now Now. Bowden was a very funny guy. He made one of my all-time favorite quotes. He was up and down. If you haven’t watched the BTN Iowa doc about their season last year, I recommend it. Gives you a much better idea of the kind of psychological struggles they were dealing with there.Am I taking crazy pills? Did Desanto really change? He threatened to kill a girl at NCAAs and then tried to fight Schriever’s parents for supporting their son…
I was thinking the same thing--he really took that well. I'm rooting for Austin (to a degree, anyway, obviously would want RBY to be our team member if given a choice). He was up and down. If you haven’t watched the BTN Iowa doc about their season last year, I recommend it. Gives you a much better idea of the kind of psychological struggles they were dealing with there.
All things considered I do think he came a long way. For example, at his recent international tournament and opponent tried to start a fight with him and gouged his eyes while getting pinned. Kept his cool the whole time. Hard to imagine that a few years ago.
So you're saying you'll be the Avon guy instead of the White Claw guy?
And if he did say that, it's really bad, but - and I know I'm a broken record here - if you watch the documentary you can see that he has legitimate impulse control issues when it comes to language. This isn't a spoiled kid with a bad temper. This is a kid who is trying to overcome a difficult psychological issue. It was much more intense than I anticipated. One thing about ADS' recent behavior, he has had his bad moments. But are we positive he threatened to kill the NCAA official. A similar thing was said about his incident with Schriever's dad and that was false (many credible witnesses who saw it said it wasn't a good look but that's not what he did)
The reason I say this is not to defend him per se but because that's a very serious thing to post if it's not true. There were rumors he was close to being DQed also for that and his points being revoked. I'm not sure Brands would just be allowed to sanction ADS by not letting him partake in awards if it was that serious. Not even a team point was taken?
