For any of you needing reassurance from the greatest mind in wrestling, Willie put out his crystal ball for 2024 a few hours ago and at 197 he does have AJ Ferrari in for Iowa and stated that sources close to the situation tell him that AJ should be cleared. He also said AJ to Iowa is far from a sure thing.

If cleared to start in 2024, AJ could still (theretically) become a 4x champ, which would make him the Iowa GOAT.

There are some OSU posters who claim Anthony is actually just has bad, if not worse than AJ and that a few things were swept under the rug while he was a Cowboy. Meanwhile, he's not at the same level talent wise as AJ. All this hype and he probably will have a minimal impact at Iowa next year while possibly being a major distraction.

If Chittum can’t make 149 then there really isn’t even a spot for Ferrari. He isn’t beating Kennedy out for the 165 spot and if Chittum is as good as he has looked in freestyle he isn’t beating him either. It would be hilarious to me if he can’t even crack the lineup with all of the talk about what a huge commitment he is. If that happens I can’t see him being a team player and assume things come to head sooner rather than later

Wouldn’t the school have something to say about this? I can’t imagine they’d want to take a hit for something like this with todays culture. It’s just a bad look.

School has to be on-board with it as they have to be admitted to the university before they can be a part of Iowa Wrestling Team. If the school wasn't on board, all the have to do is refuse to accept their academic applications.

Didn't read this whole thread, so not sure what all has been said. This news gets a big ol' meh from me. Someone else's situation. Plenty of examples over the years of coaches taking chances on kids. Not all of them work out.

I'm more interested in how Robbie Howard's progress goes (talked with him 3 weeks ago, all was ok then), how we will fill 133, and what's going to happen at the upper weights with Max Dean departing.
