Hearing from multiple people Ayala is doubtful to wrestle this dual
Discouraging? I agree pump the brakes that Josh will wilt Buchanan but Buchanan beat Poznanski in tiebreakers last year at NCAAs. Maybe it’s not easy to break Poznanski either and Josh did it.
I always pump the breaks on these type situations until one situation happens. My litmus test is when they finally get taken into the deep water, how do they react? For example, if Josh gets taken down early and gets ridden out. THEN we see how he reacts. I'm cautiously optimistic, however, he needs to be taken into the deep end. He's only been in the shallow end and Poz 0-0 into third doesn't cut it for me, Josh never trailed or was ridden out. Kid is a flat out stud and this week will certainly tell a lot. I'm not even worried if he loses, however, its how it happens and how he reacts that will be a litmus test for me.
That would be the polite thing to do . . . because Arnold is going to need his head back to go searching for an asshole that just went missing.
Teener seems to like to play opossum. He likes to slow it down and then strike. He looked really good yesterday.Sasso isn't the same. He use to have the ability to prevent guys from finishing.
I did not think Arnold showed much.

Kasak is going to have to be able to take him down and ride him. Teemer's wind may be the difference if Kasak can take him down and punish him. Teemer is very smooth however, and that might be the difference if Kasak cannot take him down.
Has Carter hit a bow and arrow yet? Would love to see Arnold cry like Jacob Warner when Max Dean hit one in Carver.
In the meantime, I am hearing that Slumlord Bobby will be making the trip to State College.

Trying to think who Zain punished with Bow and Arrow that stopped fighting it and just put his shoulder on the mat. It was like MMA.
I thought about saying the Long Island paper, but the Fredo joke wasn't as obvious.
I just really hope someone has the balls to ask him about this statement after the match on Friday. They probably won't but I can hope.
In the post match interview yesterday Tom Brands said he expects Drake to wrestle. Mineo posted that Drake is doubtful for Friday.
Kind of surprising how many times teemer takes a step back when wrestling. Whistle blows he heads in reverse almost every time. Two takedowns against sasso came right after stall calls I'm hoping kasak rides him and turns him. I can't wait for this match

If I’m Iowa, I’d rather see Angelo v Carter this Friday for a better take on him, leaving Gabe for a likely bout at B1Gs. That way, coaches see both young guns against a departing legend.
Also believe if an uninjured Ayala goes, he beats Davis. No knock on Braedon, just think Ayala’s craftier and quicker right now.
Also believe Teemer may give up stalling points, but his cobra-like strikes and power will defeat Tyler, at least this time.
No way Josh ragdolls Buchanan like he did Poz and won’t be surprised by a close loss. If Josh does rock the building, there’s no reason he doesn’t leapfrog to the new #1 next week.
Didn’t care for thin, lethargic Kerk at Rutgers, but more than willing to believe the “sick” buzz. If still less than by Friday, still think he handles Kueter, but no problem having Lucas or Cole have a go.

Just a thought my news feed had a video on the Iowa style which I watched just to get a laugh. It so happens the next news feed is Jason nolfs 2015-2016 season. I think nolf had more takedowns in that year then the entire Iowa team had for the year I shit you not. Some style Iowa has lol

His entire offensive setup is retreat, lower stance and shoot when opponent steps foward with weight on front foot. When allowed he spends 7 minutes retreating to take 2 shots. Levi didn't play, I doubt Tyler does either.
And no reason to make weight.
That reminds me, I need something for Friday Night. Preferably something dark and heavy, like the storm coming for the HawkTuahEyes.

Unless Ayala is 200% healthy, I doubt Brands sends him out there. Brands will want to protect his seed.
Any chance this is some sort of Sun Tzu head game desperation from Arnold with the goal of getting Starocci to wrestle stupid and maybe do something to lose a team point? I know, I know… but the possibility crossed my mind.
Arnold's best chance to win is to get Starocci to try to hurt him, ending in a DQ win for Arnold.
I think you're giving Gabe a little too much credit. I think he just likes to trash talk. Fine if he can back it up. But I think he's not quite there yet and he's going to find that out Friday night. Maybe painfully so.
I doubt he ever gets there.
