The 184 Bo/Brooks match should be as entertaining as PD3's commentary on the match itself.
Pirate, you forgot to tell them that your DII also has Nevills beating Snyder.Irony of ironies, with the dual this Friday...the Dual Impact Index has Iowa winning 125, 133 (with Clark in there), and 141, and Penn State winning out from there.
You and I probably agree alot, just not easily this week.Well i agree with you here 100%
I think it was the Minny match where the coach wanted the random draw to allow one of their lightweights who struggled to make weight more time for recovery. I might be confusing my duals though.
I could be wrong but I thought I heard Cael say on one of his coaches show that he prefers to always start at 125 ...
Pirate's DII is Skynet. It's just a matter of time before it goes activePirate, you forgot to tell them that your DII also has Nevills beating Snyder.
I don't think anyone is worried one bit about Zain & Nolf.
This is what mcRib would do to both Bo and Brooks at the same time. The 184 Bo/Brooks match should be as entertaining as PD3's commentary on the match itself.
Entirely true. Of course, my DII also has Snyder with the 64th-toughest (or 13th-weakest) schedule, which is a large part of the reason why Snyder is rated just fourth. It's the same reason Retherford is rated behind Collica at 149, because Collica's schedule is rated second-toughest, whereas Retherford's is rated just 38th. (no, the human operating the DII does not expect Collica to beat Retherford, not today, not tomorrow, not the third Sunday or Monday in February in Stillwater, and not on March 18th in St. Louis)Pirate, you forgot to tell them that your DII also has Nevills beating Snyder.
Great idea - was thinking the same exact thing earlier this weekend.
I think the best starting weight for PSU would be 174 - that would let everything play out, let Suriano ease into the evening and would let the gauntlet of Zain/Nolf/VJ know what they need for the dual win, if things are close.
Caveat: Is Stoll wrestling?
Hope your guys are ok, if not for this dual, then certainly soon and for Big Ten's and NCAA's. Saw a limping Stoll, and with his history, a missed match wouldn't surprise, but I am a little shocked by the Clark comment. He looked ok against Brock, and I'd be surprised if Clark doesn't win that bout next time. Anyway, didn't see anything that would suggest he'd miss our dual.Well I know it is just for something to talk about but really guys this meet could start any place and will have the same result..You win just by how much. If no Stoll, might be no Clark either so maybe Iowa can win only one..Either way the most they will most likely win is 2.
Rest of year guess forget about duals and get Clark and Stoll healthy come maybe ready in March and preform better than usual..
Cael would never go optional weight classes...For the guys who thinks he would don't know him very well....interesting thought, Roar.
My take is that if it happens, it won't be because of CS. My sense is that a) he's a traditionalist, b) he's not looking for gimmicks to win. Regardless of which weight goes 1st, there will be 10 matches in the dual. I could be wrong, but I don't get the sense that CS is worried about the away crowd, the ref, or anything else, that he's focused on the 10 competitions, and that he thinks starting at anything other than 125 is a change that affords no advantage, as the results of any particular match have no real bearing on the other 9 matches.
Nick is ready !!!!It's not a bad idea. Will Cael do it? I think it comes down to Cael's reading of Nick. I think Nick's mindset might be to get going asap.
