I compared PSU wrestling to the SEC, as in they have been as dominant as the whole SEC the last 14 years, winning 10/13 contested years. The SEC is 10/14 in that time frame.

Over the years from watching various fan bases I’ve seen certain common themes. First wanna team is currently riding high in opposing fan base often talks about their history and help. Somehow it’s Richard and better than the current number one team.
Like anyone cares about anyone else’s history? I guess most fan bases that I’ve had success are quite entitled, including Penn State’s fan base. The trouble is as soon as you talk about the current here and now you’re gonna have another fan base that’s also entitled mention about their ancient history that isn’t quite relevant now, but I guess that makes them feel better?🤷♂️
Michigan Notre Dame come to mind when we talk about this kind of stuff. Iowa if it’s a wrestling conversation.

Nelson would get a takedown or two on Gabe. By the end of the season when he was healthy, he found some go to offense to at least notch a takedown a match. Gabe just lost to a guy who didn’t qualify for NCAAs at 165 and was 0-3 at 174, it was free but ironically that can help since there’s a way to score without notching takedowns. He’s not beating the returning 5th placer. Unless Nelson slips, Gabe doesn’t come close to taking him down. 0% chance Gabe rides Nelson either. Nelson 3-2 or 5-3 under 2 point takedown rules.
