Very few of us are talking poorly about Angelo. Let's get that straight.
What the vast majority seem to find objectionable is the fact that the two brothers and the rest of the family are along for the ride. Angelo hasn't done anything wrong and until he does, I wish him many happy second place finishes. But the fact remains that his two brothers are absolute turds.

He isn't going to a program renowned for developing bigger, good or great wrestlers into NCAA finalists.
A couple Hawks (Metcalf, St. John) who might have some solid advice on getting past the quarter-finals live and work in Ames, but the largest Hawk wrestling donor talks shyt on their wives so they aren't answering their phones if they see the area code is 319.

Again, very few people have criticized his character or actions. They have correctly pointed out his family is a package deal. And the family is a problem.
Iowa seems to have a disproportionate number of turds, and those being turds they have actively pursued as opposed to being stuck with.

For whatever its worth I just saw Anthony Ferrari's interview from 5/31 and watching him try to be appropriate made me hope he succeeds. It will be a lot more fun beating a competitive Hawkeye club than an imploding one. The best year in the last ten years in my opinion was 2018 because Ohio State had the robes, the pin chains, and one hell of a line up and lost to an even better PSU. I take the charges against AJ very seriously, someone's daughter appears to have been assaulted for God's sake. And if no one was in fact hurt the Ferrari's could make Iowa competitive (kind of)and that would be way more fun. Also the idea that these three young men could actually become good men (however improbable it seems right now) would be awesome for the sport and these kids. I am PSU all the way but as a wrestling dad I also want every wrestler to have a good life.

The only wrestlers who shouldn’t be booed are generational talents - except for all generational talents who don’t wrestle for Iowa. Those wrestlers should not only be booed, but they should also be pelted with bottles, racial insults, etc.

Booing is a part of most every sport, and most people are ambulance chasers when it comes to booing in large flocks.
As an avid Iowa wrestling fan I am used to being booed/hated. It feels normal to me.
I bet Chittum has been booed before, as guy always looking through that glass exodus to the next big thing. Maybe he found a home with Metcalf and DSJ. Only time will tell. He is an Elite talent that unfortunately, I will be rooting against when he battles Iowa. Such is Life..

You saw a lot of this from the Iowa wrestling “journalists”. Hager being the guy I believe who actively rooted for Willie’s response to Midlands cancellation, a quickly-thrown together tournament, to fail so it wouldn’t compete with Iowa’s Soldier Salute. So much for “growing the sport”. As it was, Willie’s tournament had far more competition than the Soldier Salute that year.

Psu is always wrestling in the quarters so lots for us to watch.. and a jab at the Hawks not wanting to watch the quarters this year as it’s very painful for them.

While most understand initiating offense and attempting to score and scoring is a huge part of successful wrestling, a large portion of the the Hawk faithful belive strongly that pushing is wrestling.Here's a quote from GIA. They really don't get it.
