fix went straight wolverine for 10-0 in 1min. that wasnt a td and lace, that was just aggressive wrestling. hire on fire!

love it.

fix just salty this round. 10-TF with only 2 of that being a turn in 4:04.

like seeing smalls in the background being pumped for the scoring.

Fix lost in the first round to a Russian. Big surprise, at least to me.
Fix is still outstanding. Take him in a heartbeat...Young man is outstanding and beat Spencer twice...He is wrestling in the toughest weight class in the tour. It's loaded....

Is Fix coming up on deck soon ?

Not trying to be argumentative or call you out, but how is it a big surprise that Fix lost to the Russian? The Russian is a cadet world champ and a returning junior bronze. Fix was a cadet bronze last year.

In his bronze match, he has another cadet world champ. The way he's wrestling (he gave the russian all he could handle) he could win, but I won't be surprised if he comes home without a medal.

I didn't realize who the Russian is/was as I don't really follow freestyle, except for the Americans so I was just surprised he lost in the first round. You would think medalists from last year would not meet in the first round, but I have no idea how they seed these tournaments.

They don't. It's random draw.

IIRC there's some mechanism to separate world champs into opposite sides of the bracket. But otherwise, luck of the draw.

fix w 10-3 winner! you guys have to take the 10 min to watch that match when its posted. what a great job.

plus seeing smalls behind the board and only seeing his eyes like the neighbor from home improvement is funny..to me anyway.

I thought Valencia would get a medal and another would sneak through. future looks bright for USA.

now...FULL COURT PRESS on FIX CAEL!

In my mentally stunted imagination, Cael pushes everyone out of the way to hang the bronze on Fix's neck, and tells him: if you come to Penn State, this will be gold.

Shoves medal girls to the ground, gets arrested and thrown in a French jail and becomes the next Ryan Lochte. Not wanting bad publicity or a lawsuit, PSU fires him and he is blackballed from college wrestling. Least that's how it goes down in my mind.

The Russian is in the gold medal match.

Daton dominated in his bronze match. Wish he would have had a tune up match before facing the Russian cold.

Dude from AZE beat the pants off the Russian in the finals.

Khashalov from AZE is the kid who Spencer beat for his Cadet world title.

Speaking of AZE doping accusations, lol, check out the video of Spencer beating Khashalov a couple of years ago and then compare it to the video of Khashalov beating the Russian when it gets loaded, if you didn't watch it live.

Spencer looks a little bigger than he did a few years ago as you would expect from a teenager. The kid from AZE went from the 98lb weakling to Charles Atlas. He looked like our SR reps at 57kg would be in trouble with him.

He's either going to get a doping ban or become a force at 57kg relatively quickly.

Almost like he was trying to hide.

Willie, if you want to hide in the open, with a better view of the action, this disguise has worked in the past:

Love the hair doo on Fix. Oh to be young again.

It's going to be cool watching Fix in B&W after Hall convinces him it's his best choice. It's going to look like Ben Askren as a Nittany Lion!

WE ARE ......

Daton Fix looks like a college wrestler NOW. Kid is amazing in scrambles and his throw by and also keeping the Ukrainian kids head down to do a go behind was a thing of beauty. So would Daton wearing blue and white.

Daton would look pretty damn good as Hawkeye aswell.. there's always a chance!

Read that our entire men's freestyle team is still eligible next year. Still must earn their way, but shows the youth movement in our country.
